Sensations Eco-Chic Hotel

rom the moment we arrived at Sensations Hotel, we felt instantly relaxed, greeted by warm, welcoming staff and even treated to a soothing foot massage right at reception. We were shown to our beautiful room and given a tour of the stunning property, which truly felt like paradise. Pradeep, our attentive butler, along with the rest of the team, offered impeccable 24/7 service where nothing was ever too much trouble. Mr. Kumar, the friendly and kind hotel manager, was always on hand to chat and ensure we were happy. The hotel sits on a tranquil stretch of beach that feels almost private, and when the tide is out, you can walk right out to the reef — an unforgettable experience. Dining was a delight thanks to the wonderful ladies in the restaurant, serving exceptional food every day. We were also treated to a captivating Maasai Tribe dance performance, adding to the magic. While we did venture out to explore villages, schools, and other parts of the island — navigating the lively, rule-free roads — returning to the hotel each evening felt like coming home to peace and comfort. We’ve already inspired friends to book after seeing our photos, and we will 100% be returning. This is the most relaxing hotel I’ve ever visited, and I couldn’t hold back tears as the incredible staff waved us off on our last morning. It was so awesome. Pradeep the butler/manager/server was the best there is! He made the place great. Willing to do anything and goes above and beyond for anyone. Would make the best employee at any company! Along with everyone else… everyone was super kind and attentive to help with anything. Amazing food, sand, pools, vibes and drinks! Not wearing shoes for an entire week might actually be one of the best things ever… would highly recommend coming here. The peace you get relaxing here is the best I’ve experienced. The drive in is a little strange and the tides of the ocean is a bummer during low tide, but you forget about it the second your feet are in the white soft sand at the resort.

A huge thank you to all the staff—from the Masaii team to the chefs, bartenders, and waitresses. Special thanks to Ibrahem, Freida, Pusi, Etse, and Shija, who made our stay unforgettable. From a magical beachfront birthday dinner to our beautifully decorated room and lovely chats at breakfast, the bar, and pool—everything was Hakuna Matata. The food is amazing, and the evening wine tastings were a delightful highlight. The barefoot concept felt unusual at first, but we quickly embraced it. We also loved our beach couples massage—it was heavenly. The only small downside was the nearby construction noise Lastly, while the hotel is luxurious, it would be great to see it give back to the local village nearby, helping support and uplift the surrounding community.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in Zanzibar. Gorgeous hotel - rooms are lovely and the food is great. Your choice of beach or pool, and the best part is the hotel is no shoes, so you feel connected with earth. Staff were the best!
