Kind of reminded me of a mini Four Seasons. Only hotel within the park and of top quality. Walk way and deck along the river was nice. Elephant and Hippo viewing as well as sunsets from the boats were special to this lodge. Food and service was excellent, grounds were excellent. Different dinner themes at a couple of locations at the hotel. Game drives can be crowded and wild life sightings were not as good as the Okavanga Delta and Moremi reserve.

Lovely position on the river, ideal to do safari river cruise. The room was lovely but the shower could do with an update. Very good breakfast and evening restaurant provided wide variety of dishes. Not far from town but not walking distance, basic facilities.

3 very pleasant nights spent at this Lodge on the banks of the River Chobe. We saw some remarkable things in the National Park and on the safari boat trip, all due to our Guides and their knowledge and skills. My only slight criticism would be the lunch-time menu - insufficient vegetarian meals to give choice over the 3 days. I guess I could have asked for something else, but it was just about adequate. The evening meals though were very good.

Our tour group stayed here. It has a spectacular setting on the Chobe River. Food was served in an outdoor pavilion at a lavish buffet. There is also a casual bar right on the water. Our room was one of the most lovely I have been in: dark wood, marble bathroom, high ceiling with netted beds.

Huge disappointment; icky rooms The Chobe Safari Lodge was a very expensive mistake. TL;DR It wasn't just bad for the money we spent, but bad for a standard $200/night hotel. The Bad: - The room was incredibly disappointing: it was not well appointed, small, and not especially clean. Hard to explain how ick it felt.. your heart sort of drops when you walk into the room and you realize this is what you got your hopes up for. - I had to ask for soap and shampoo to be brought to the room; there was literally none. It took three go-rounds with the hotel service to actually get soap and shampoo. - The pool was filthy -- it's literally a dare to get into the water. - The "nature walk" was the lease compelling nature we saw in Botswana. The OK: - One redeeming point was the woman at the front desk (Patricia, if I recall correctly?) who helped us check in; she was gracious and helpful. All other staff we interacted with were actively unhelpful and indifferent. - The boat tour was just OK; it was not the glamorous boat tour you'd expect. It's one sub-par drink on an otherwise pared-down boat. But you do see some cool stuff. To note: - All activities cost extra. They are not included in the cost of the hotel. - Essentially all of the activities outside of the standard safari stuff seemed pretty lame when you dug into it. In all, if you're looking for a really nice stay, better to properly spend on one of the $800-$1000/night hotels for just one night rather than spending two at a truly sub-standard hotel.

This place is awesome! The hotel itself is really nice and very clean. Staff are friendly, welcoming and always available to help. The rooms are fantastic and fully stocked with everything you need. The game drives are a MUST, we saw so many different animals including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hyenas and more! Thank you to everyone at the Lodge for making this stay a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I highly recommend to everyone!

Lodge itself was OK, comfortable and clean enough, nothing special. Several things were a bit annoying – it took quite some effort to open and close terrace doors, the electric switches in the room follow strange system, it took us some time to understand how some lamps are switched off; we had to ask for a second blanket at least twice, water in the pool was somewhat murky and uninviting, we did not dare to try it out, there was some misunderstanding with our afternoon game drive (however, it finally went very well with an excellent guide). The good things: surroundings are fantastic – not only is the lodge close to the entrance of the National Park, but the Park visits the lodge frequently: mongooses, baboons and warthogs were daily visitors (no danger from them unless you do something foolish). There is also a short nature walk in the territory of the lodge, but they do not allow visitors to go there unattended as larger predators sometimes visit, which may pose a danger. Apart from the closeness of nature, there are all the comforts of civilization just outside the gates: a supermarket, a money exchange, and a small souvenir market. Food at the lodge should be mentioned, too – it was very good, they served European and African dishes.

A nice location with great rooms and plenty of local wildlife. Stay away from the Buffet as my wife and another person from our small group suffered sever food poisoning resulting in my wife having to be rushed to the 24 hour medical center for extensive treatment. High praise for the customer service manager Selalo ( I hope is spelt this correctly) she stayed with us the entire time at the medical center providing comfort and support. The facility driver was also fantastic.
