We had intended to overnight at Karpenisi but fortunately found the delightful Oihalia Guesthouse along the way. It is in a beautiful spot with wonderful views. We had a warm welcome from Christos and Georgia and, in the end, spent 2 nights with them as we liked the guesthouse and village so much. It was cold at night so we appreciated our warm, comfortable bedroom, the log fire at dinner and Christos's home made soup. We intend to go back, as the area is beautiful and this would make a very comfortable base.
