I reserved my room via my rewards account online and selected a king room. I was traveling with a pet but it doesn’t let me put that in when reserving online. When I got to the hotel and checked in I was told that we were going to have to be changed to a room downstairs that was a queen double because we are traveling with a pet. I was fine with that because I understand not being able to give your best rooms to somebody that is traveling with a pet just in case. The problem I have is when we got into the room how absolutely disgusting it was. I had to make an extra trip to Walmart to buy shoes just because I could not walk on the actual carpet or floor in that hotel room without my feet turning black. The floor was sticky in the bathroom and the foyer and the bathtub was so slick. My husband and I both almost fell multiple times. The bed sheets appeared clean, but the cover on top of them was stained and looked dirty. The air conditioner, but barely, and the room always had a sticky musty feel to it. The hallways in the hotel were dirty as well and do not look regularly vacuumed. On the outside, The trashcan was overflowing with beer bottles, and fast food wrappers. That was there the entire time through our stay and was so bad at one point I even picked it up myself because I was tired of stepping around it. Also people would congregate and loiter outside the front of the hotel as well as the side entrance making the whole environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I have stayed here before, but it has never been like this and will likely never stay here again because of our latest trip. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of our stay. The staff was nice but there is clearly issues here other than just being friendly.
