The Lumos Deluxe Resort Hotel & Spa

My spouse and I stayed at Lumos Deluxe Resort, expecting a 5-star ultra all-inclusive experience. Unfortunately, our stay fell far below expectations. We visit Alanya 1-2 times a year and have stayed in various 4- and 5-star hotels, but this hotel’s "5-star" rating did not reflect our experience. 1. Reception & Check-in The only positive aspect was that we received a room upgrade. However, the green wristband provided at check-in felt like a symbol of the hotel’s cost-cutting measures. 2. Room Cleanliness & Comfort Despite the upgrade, our room was not properly cleaned. The bed had hair on it, the pillows were stained, and the floors were dusty (photos attached). Basic bathroom amenities such as cotton pads were missing, which was surprising for a 5-star hotel. 3. Main Restaurant The lunch selection consisted mostly of carbohydrates, herbs, and a so-called "fish" dish that was all bones and no meat. The beer tasted like diluted water, and staff admitted it contained almost no alcohol. 4. Pool Bar Cocktail ingredients were missing, and my "Blue Hawaii" was nothing more than artificially colored liquid. 5. Guest Relations We waited over an hour for à la carte restaurant information, only to be told, "The system is down, come back tomorrow." When we asked about the menu, the response was simply, "It's fixed"—with no further details or assistance. 6. Beach & Facilities The beach required crossing a busy road, and the water park was located outside the hotel premises. The "Beach Snack" bar served wine that tasted worse than cheap vinegar and beer that was overly diluted. 7. Cleanliness Issues Despite multiple complaints, our room remained unclean. The beach restroom was in extremely poor hygienic condition (photos attached). 8. Staff Harassment After Checkout After checking out at 7:55 AM, we received a call at 5:30 PM from Ms. Aybüke, demanding video proof that we had left. Even after sending footage showing us at another hotel, the questioning continued. 9. Unfair "No-Show Fee" Charge We booked and paid for 7 nights but left after 2 due to the unacceptable conditions. The hotel still charged us for 3 extra nights under a so-called "no-show fee"—something we had never encountered in over 10 years of traveling. Final Verdict The hotel’s high ratings do not match the reality we experienced. Poor food and drinks, lack of cleanliness, and dismissive customer service made our stay unpleasant. Based on our experience, we recommend choosing a different hotel for a better vacation. Photos of room and restroom cleanliness issues attached.

The best holiday ever. The waterslides and pool were amazing If I were you i would visit a place round the corner called the Gypsy Lounge. the place is amazing,it has drinks food and even live football. the best bit though is Ali he is so kind and friendly,Any way the ho6tel is brilliant and the shows on the stage are so good. me and my family will always remember it.Irate it five stars . overall its the greatest hotel ive stayed at.
