I booked the Hotel Bigang Xiziwan with great confidence, but the result was disappointing. There is nothing wrong with the hotel itself, but I would like to sincerely remind netizens who book rooms online that not every room has a beautiful sea view, and there is a big difference between room 31 and room 14. No. 31 Shaochuan Street is farther away from the sea view, and the view is half blocked by the large white circular building of Shaochuantou Park. In addition, the closer the room is to the interior, the more likely it is to have a full sea view, but this cannot be determined from the online booking. Take me for example. I was very happy to book a deluxe double room with sea view, but when I arrived at the 31st, I found that the room was not as big as I imagined, and the view outside the window was half blocked by Shaochuantou Park. After asking the front desk, I paid extra and moved to room 14 on the 5th floor. However, since it is a side room, the view is somewhat blocked by Shaochuantou Park. The room does not have a balcony, but it has a bathtub. When I asked if I could change to a room further inside? The answer I got was that I had to raise the price. So I can only suggest to friends who want to stay here that you'd better make sure your room has a full sea view, otherwise you will really spend a lot of money to be disappointed. Another point is that the counter and the room are in different buildings, and the restaurant does not have an elevator, so you have to climb to the second floor by yourself. Not recommended for people with limited mobility or the elderly.

The environment is clean, the beds are good to sleep, the space is large and comfortable, the elevator is convenient, the aroma in the homestay is very like, the bathing equipment is textured, and there are free drinks. Although there is no parking fee support, there is a parking lot next to it, very close. (The parking lot in the same alley is up to 150 yuan on the same day)

All the hotel staff were very friendly, and the location is excellent with easy access to everywhere, close to the train station. Although the building is old, it has a traditional charm and is well-maintained with excellent cleanliness. The service was perfect, and it made my trip to Taiwan the best it could be. I originally thought it would be scary when I walked in, but I didn't expect it to be pretty good when I stayed there. It looked scary from the outside. But after staying there for one night, I found it quite comfortable. I will go there next time if I have a chance.

It took us 5 minutes from MTR station to the hotel. The room is large enough for us to open 2 large luggages at the same time. For me, there had many different TV channels to watch. As having a balcony, the view is very good. The breakfast provided is not bad as there are different types of food including local and western types. Moreover, the coffee is free for the whole day. The staff is nice and helpful.

The location is close to Kaohsiung Station and easy to find! There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, and there is also a 24-hour refrigerator and drinks in the lobby. The environment is peaceful! There is enough food for breakfast and the room is tidy! The rent is reasonably priced and you can walk to the nearby Jilin Street Night Market!

We had a great stay at CU Hotel Kaohsiung! Knowing it’s a ”self-service” hotel, we set our expectations accordingly, especially given the very affordable price. The location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station, making it super convenient for travelers. Check-in is self-service, and while I encountered some trouble with the touchscreen, a staff member was readily available via the phone and guided me through the process smoothly. Great service! The room was exceptionally spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. Even without windows, it didn’t feel dark or claustrophobic. The bathroom was a good size and even had a bathtub. Everything was very clean, and having a water dispenser on every floor was a nice touch. For this price point, it’s definitely a great value. I’d gladly stay here again!

Requested a quiet, non-smoking room, but when I entered the room I found urine stains on the toilet and the room smelled of cigarettes. I opened the window to get rid of the smell and found 4.5 cigarette butts on the windowsill. After I reported this to the hotel, they immediately helped me change rooms. After that, there were constant sounds of people coming in and out of the room next door, and a stranger knocked on my door in the middle of the night. The noise lasted all night and didn't stop until 2 a.m. . It felt like several consecutive rooms were occupied by people who knew each other and played until late at night, so it didn't feel very comfortable staying there.
