The first impression is that the room is large, which is very convenient for drivers. There is a highway nearby, so there is no need to go into the city.
Parking in the garage is no problem. If you don't have a garage, you have to find a parking space, but that's okay. There are many street parking spaces and paid parking lots nearby.
The room was clean and there was no strange smell. The breakfast was rich and the overall performance was excellent.

Stayed at H20 Hotel in May 2023. Truly nothing but praises for this hotel - the service was impeccable (a car AND butler service was sent to pick us up from the High speed rail station) and all the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Toilet and shower area was also separate so no flooding issues.
Location was also perfect - it was walking distance to the Ruifeng Night Market which has a plethora of street food options. We ate there for three consecutive nights. There's also a sanrio themed convenience store right across from the hotel which made for easy late night snack purchases. Highly recommended

Great view, good location and next to a mall (e-sky mall) with supermarket and food court. Concierge and house keeping staff were the most helpful and friendly. They always had a smile, polite, and eager to help. The worst was executive lounge and front desk, borderline being rude. Their lounge (11/f) collected a birthday cake cutting fee (NT$500), even when we are hotel guest. Front desk reminded me several times of extra charge if late check out. The lobby cafe don’t know what is flat white and had no intention to find out what it is. I reckon their business is too good and don’t care about hospitality.

The location of the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is better than the location of the Grand Hotel Taipei. Also, the view from the guest room at this hotel was better than the one that my parents got when staying at the Grand Hotel Taipei. The view at the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung faces the front of the hotel with trees and the water fountain. The view at the Grand Hotel Taipei was the parking lot. The subway is a bit far from the hotel. The room was quite big and the price was fine. Also, the room was clean and tidy.

Walking distance from Houyi station (there's 3 bubble tea shops along the way). One thing to note: nearest exit (exit 3) have escalators going upwards only, need to walk to a further exit with a lift (exit 2). Room wasn't very clean, TV remote control was so dusty. Hotel breakfast was meh, disappointing.

When booking the room, I was told not to have a cartoon theme, but as soon as I opened the door, it was Doraemon 😳! The room type feels relatively old, which is a bit disappointing. There are very few sockets in the room. On the bright side, at least the air conditioner will be cold🤣

The location is close to Kaohsiung Station and easy to find! There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, and there is also a 24-hour refrigerator and drinks in the lobby. CcclchlorineReally glad i picked this hotel to stay in Kaohsiung! It is near Kaohsiung main station (a big part of the station is under renovation as of August 2024 so the walk from the station is longer as we have to walk a larger loop compared to just walking straight out to the hotel - the hotel faces the main station directly btw). Nonetheless the hotel room is clean and spacious. The bed is larger than what I thought (feels more like a king bed for a double bed!) so that’s a huge plus. The hotel staff were really friendly and kind (living up to the hotel’s name), and we have access to the lounge area which includes free drinks and ice cream + some small snacks! I think these little things really add up to make the stay very pleasant! I would want to come back here next time I’m back in Kaohsiung!

The staff is just ok, I can't say they are too good either.
They have a non-sense pedantic rule that you must collect your dishes and put them in a tray place. I felt like I am in McDonalds or in a trashy human factory. Meanwhile the staff are sitting doing nothing.
As a guest, when I go to a hotel I want to relax, I have enough with tidying up and cleaning things at home, the least thing I want at a hotel is doing the same.
Breakfast itself is ok but milk tea is EXTREMELY sweet and no milk tea option without sugar so if you do not wanna get diabetes type B you won't be able to enjoy breakfast. The rest is mostly very high carbs suggary or fried fatty stuff except a small salad buffet and scrambled eggs. There was no coffee during my stay as coffee machine was broken so cannot rate it.
Checkin should be conveniently done with a kiosk downstairs but when I came it was broken too.
The place feels comfortable and private.
Water has only BOILING HOT water. So it does not have a mixer so you can shower for the first minute, then water is boiling super hot and there is no way to mix it up with cold water or make temperature cold down. It is funny cause travelling around the world I found some countries where it is difficult to get hot water but first time in my life finding a hotel where it is difficult to get cold water.
Location is just ok, it is a bit far from MRT but most staff is nearby.

TThe Happie HypnoOne of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Everything about the hotel was perfectly thought through and designed for the user experience.
Located conveniently abiT off the main busy stretch but walking distance to lots of food and bars, a little longer walk and you would get into the main busy shopping stretch. The hotel was super thoughtful in the service and amenities they provided. There was 24hrs free coffee, tea and ice cream which was self service, a laundry room with free use of their washing machines and dryers - the staff would even help you to dry your stuff when the machine is done washing! There was a 24 hour reception which is manned by really polite and kind staff who are always there to answer your questions even at 1am!
The room was well designed with all the amenities provided, from hair shampoo, conditioners, bath wash, moisturisers and even facial wash!
The rooms are super clean and there was an in-room tap with reverse osmosis water for you to refill your water and boil tea with!
The best part, the room also came with free breakfast which was pretty sumptuous for a simple hotel. The buffet spread of stir fried dishes, rice, porridge, soup (oh my god so good!) cereals, salads, coffee, teas and juices.
The service was also really good. Unobtrusive and always polite. They are really efficient and nice.
I would def stay here again if I come by!

I traveled solo and as a single guy and not expecting much. I am surprised at the service and comfort I got that are exceeding my expectations.

清清涼上市！It was close to the MRT station, you could take the U-Bike, and there was a famous breakfast restaurant within walking distance, so it was a convenient location for sightseeing.
If you stay for multiple nights, they don't clean the room, and you have to ask the front desk to change your bath towels. There was no refill of tea or water, but there was a water server on the top floor, so I used that.
The water in the shower room didn't get hot enough unless I let it run for a while.
