Best Western Premier Kansas City Sports Complex Hotel

I checked in on February 17 the heat, phone or electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work. Will not stay there again.

Upon arrival, staff was super helpful and friendly! This continued throughout our stay as we came and went. Breakfast buffet was decent - a nice perk to the morning. Great location for a baseball or football game, spacious parking lot, clean room and public areas.

Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Room smelled like bleach as it had just been cleaned. Perfect distance to walk to the game. Nice to avoid the 2 hour exit from parking at the stadium. Prices were extremely inflated for the night though. Breakfast was good, typical hotel food, free and filled us up for the drive home.

This hotel is across the highway from Arrowhead stadium. Cool! The desk people are nice, and helpful when it comes to local recommendations. The room was great. The breakfast had everything I could think of: bacon, sausage, eggs, toast,grits, cereal, waffles, french toast, you name it. Very impressive. Pool water temp was too cold for us, but there were kids in there who enjoyed it. A+ visit.

Upon our arrival we were informed by the General Manager that they could not honor our confirmed reservation for an ADA room. The General Manager's response to my husband and I was defensive, callous, disrespectful and he made no effort to solve our issue. Katherine and Deidre at the front desk saved the day! The were kind, helpful, and were able to get things squared away in order to find a room that met our needs. This hotel is in a very sketchy area. The surrounding area is run down. There is a vacant building in front of the hotel property that appears to be a homeless encampment. We did feel safe walking to and from the Royal's game due to police presence and a lot of game goers. The only outside sitting area is the designated smoking area. The landscaping is in desperate need of a refresh. A positive is the breakfast area was clean and the staff very hardworking. There was a good variety of food choices and the food was good. The hotel website states it was remodeled in 2024, but we saw no evidence of this. Our room was a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. It was relatively clean but very dark and drab. The safe didn't work and there was very little counter space in the bathroom for toiletries. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothing or towels. There was no bar in the closet to hang up clothes. The clothes hangers were on the hooks of the iron holder which was mounted to the wall. The shower bench was detaching from the shower wall and was a definite safety hazard. Room keys deactivated before checkout causing another trip down to the front desk. This hotel's only positive is the amazing front desk staff and its close proximity to the Sports Complex. We will not stay here again!

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to Kauffman Stadium and the Royals. The rooms were typical as you would expect. There are laundry facilities in the basement along with the pool and fitness center. This place was exactly where we needed it. It was a 10 minute walk to Kauffman Stadium, and we did NOT have to pay for parking. I would highly recommend it for a Royals or Chiefs game.
