We would like to warn everyone of our terrible experience with Echo Lodge in Kang whereby we had to engage the police. We booked accommodation for a business trip and we paid for it after they sent us the quotation and banking details but then the manager of the Echo lodge called and emailed that we couldn't come as they rented the whole lodge to someone else. We accepted this unfortunate situation and booked another accommodation and agreed with their manager that they will return the money. The manager called just a couple of hours later again asking us to still stay at Echo lodge as they arranged something but by then we had another accommodation arranged and we didn't want any more. The manager brought us in touch with the director/ owner regarding the refund, but this gentleman, who allegedly lives in Ghanzi, has been coming up with different excuses and almost a month later has not refunded us. We have tried everything, writing emails, calling and calling from different numbers, even going to the place while staying in Kang. Eventually, we went to the police and CID is trying to contact the director but he is avoiding the police as well.
