The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

Because it was only a small break in Kandy, it was set up a hotel closer to the train station. When I checked in, I was told that I was registered as a person. Two people had to receive another 12 knives. It felt a bit pitted. I was particularly nervous about the hotel after a long time, because only one person's information was filled. Breakfast is not bad, 5 knives and one person, personal feeling is not cheap.

Good afternoon ! I chose a hotel next to the royal garden. Everything was wonderful, a nice room with a beautiful view of Kandy, a balcony, an excellent breakfast and its presentation, everything was wonderful. Some minor disadvantages include the location: the car could not reach the hotel 200 meters away, the mountain is very steep. There are two rooms on the floor, and one shower and washbasin. It didn’t bother me because... No one lived in the second room. Thanks to the owner, he is very friendly!!!

This hotel is newly opened and quite clean, but it is on the street, and it is the main street. It is too noisy. The sound of cars and motorcycles running non-stop, and the sound of horns, can be heard very clearly late at night. My heart is almost sick. I can't sleep all night. It's so painful! I originally booked two nights, but if I stay for another night, my heart will have problems. I went to negotiate the check-out at 6 o'clock the next morning, and found Ctrip again, and they agreed to check out! Because this homestay does not include breakfast, we booked breakfast when we checked in, and paid two breakfasts extra, two omelets, two plates of fruit, a few slices of bread and jam, no drinks, no coffee, 4200 rupees, I don't know why this price is so expensive! ? Is it because we canceled one day or the breakfast price is so unreasonable? In addition, the waiters are not bad, but the location and breakfast of this homestay are really not recommended! This was our second visit to Fox Kandy Hotel, but unfortunately, we had several disappointing experiences this time. Firstly, they did not respond to our emails, which was quite frustrating. When I tried to book directly through their website as a Sri Lankan resident, they quoted Rs. 57,000 for a half-board stay for a couple. However, when I made the reservation through a travel agent using my non-resident husband's details, I was offered a much cheaper rate, which was quite disappointing and felt unfair. Regarding the food, the options were very limited, and the taste did not meet our expectations. It lacked variety and flavor compared to our previous visit. The room we were given initially looked good, but when we went to sleep, we realized that what appeared to be a king-size bed was actually two smaller beds joined together with separate mattresses. This made it quite uncomfortable and disrupted our sleep. Another downside was the driver’s accommodation. Unlike our last visit, where it was included, we were now required to pay separately for both his food and stay, which was an unexpected inconvenience. Overall, this visit fell short of our expectations, and unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel. Based on our experience, I cannot honestly recommend it to others.

A warm welcome with lighting of the tradotional oil lamp made it very special for us as we checked in. A beautiful property, with.breathtaking views. The rooms allocated to us the Panorama room and the Penthouse was excellent. Beautifully furnished and attention to detail was evident. The views were stunning. The staff were very attentive and the food was great with a food choices offered for the full board package we purchased. Highy recommend the Amaara Sky Hotel a must go to for relaxation peace and serene surroundings. A well presented hotel where you could experience warm hospitality. Definitely will return.
