The hotel has history, is by the river, and has a great view! The facilities are a bit old, but the rooms are big! The service is good! Very good! Enthusiastic and professional! Any promise will be fulfilled without compromise!

The old five-star hotel is located on the Mahaweli River, the mother river of Sri Lanka. It is a must-have hotel for Kandy people to get married. The British service standard is very good. Compared with other Sri Lankan hotels, the check-in and check-out are very fast. The software service makes up for the old facilities deficiencies, it is recommended

Good points: lovely building, stunning setting riverside, great service Not so good: I would not say this is a 5* hotel. It is lovely but is in need of a refresh/update. It was fine for a short stay but would not stay for long. We stayed in many 5* hotels during our time in Sri Lanka and unfortunately, this was our least favourite

The hotel is located on the riverbank, and the view is absolutely stunning. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including live cooking stations. The food was incredibly tasty. Most importantly, the service provided by Nadeesha was exceptional. She anticipated our needs and took care of everything without us having to ask. Overall, I highly recommend this place for its amazing view, delicious food, and excellent service."

We had a candle light dinner on February 14th 2025. Services were good and I would recommend couples to go on a date beside the gGangula view. The chilling vibe was good and highly recommend this place. Services And Caretaking by Miss. Nadeesha was nice.

Check in at the evening.Checking was late and and poor information given.need to train the staff.Given room with without and amenities in the bathroom.Spoke to Reception no answer.Room service was delayed and no body responses to your needs .this was my bad experience. Not recommending to anyone.
