Kandy Panorama Resort

Really appreciate with ceyloni panorama hotel in Kandy very nice place special thanks for Housekeeping staff very helpful.and good service good cleaning i would like to come again next year thanks to all service very well see yo again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Breathtaking views and serene surroundings for a peaceful stay. The hotel is located on a hill away from the hustle bustle of the town which makes it quiet; there are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity and the main road or town Center is not at walking distance you would need a vehicle or a tuk tuk to get to places. While the rooms are nice and clean with serene views the staff at the restaurant is lethargic and not prompt enough. Food options and drinks are very limited. We had chicken soup for dinner and it was horrible. We then stuck to French fries which weren’t worth the price but a good accompaniment to the single beer brand the restaurant served with 10% corkage levied. Breakfast again very limited set menu with no staff to accept orders. Although the hotel is good the restaurant staff need to be trained for better service. Next day we visited a pizza place called Vitoa pizza in kandy which was a great dinner option for wood fired thin crust pizzas. Although it is pretty away from Ceylon panaroma hotel so you need a vehicle to take you there.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying at this resort. It is quite out of the way, tricky to get to even for a taxi. Having said that, the view is the only positive about this resort and the guy at the bar who was wonderful! On arrival staff were not the most welcoming, the room is very dated, quite dirty, mould on the curtains, the room wasn’t cleaned or topped up with toilet roll/water etc. the kettle was broken it felt very run down and needs some attention. There was an unpleasant smell of urine in our room and the shower was luke warm.

Hotel view is breathtaking and chef is kind and generous. Had amazing salad with dhal rice options. However, the room wifi was not working. Upon checking the staff responded that it works only outside the room door. There were insufficient plugs to charge regular Indian phone charged. Upon requesting for a 3pin converter, and complaining about the wifi, the hotel manager responded saying there's no 3 pin available and he just literally tried to run away after saying this. Quote his words "I'm just an employee and can't do anything, you may go ahead and write to the management." Wonder is this how you run a hotel??? To add to all this, we found a lizard in the room, which the staff managed to remove in a manner which creeped us out and we couldn't sleep. There was no fridge in the room and they refused to provide one. Doesn't even deserve to be called a 2 star for these lack of amenities and services.

We had a very warm welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy. Hospitality was great. Balcony offers a great view. Food was good. The manager and the house keeping staffs were very cordial. It was a pleasant stay.
