Fantastic views across Kandy from our room and the roof terrace. Room very clean and nicely appointed. We had problems with room safe but reception staff quick to respond to our requests for assistance. Breakfast and evening buffet good and staff very attentive. Pool area good but didn't seem easily accessible to anyone with mobility issues as it's some way below the reception area. The lofty location above Kandy offering the great views has a downside as walking to and back from the city centre not really on and TukTuk would need to be ordered - on the proviso they could get up the steep inclines in some places.

Hôtel de très grande qualité dans son ensemble avec des chambres spacieuses, propres et bien équipées. La piscine est quasiment olympique, le personnel disponible et à l’écoute. La vue depuis l’hôtel est superbe, c’est un endroit idéal pour visiter cette ville de kandy.

Très belle chambre pour notre honey moon. La vue était superbe. L'hôtel dispose d'un rooftop, ce qui est appréciable pour admirer la ville de jour ou de nuit. La décoration du lit était très belle. La piscine est grande avec une belle vue. Le personnel est souriant et disponible. Le buffet du restaurant propose de nombreux choix, les serveurs sont sympas. L'hôtel dispose également d'une petite boutique de souvenir. Point d'attention sur l'isolation phonique, nous entendions tous les bruits d'animaux (oiseaux, chiens).

An interesting place. Loved the views and the pool area; it perches above Kandy proudly. Access has to be via a tuc tuc - we did feel we should have got out and given ours a push. Lots of staff frantic to be of use and very helpful. Room was a little tired, as they say, with evidence of a leak from above which had not quite dried. The haunt of organized coach tours, the buffet included Sri Lankan delicacies such as beef stroganoff and pasta arrabiata. Liked the roof top bar, though not the prices.

Hote fantastico! Camera super! Grande, con letto, e cuscini, comodo. Con vista sulle montagne. Personale super gentile. Cibo, soprattutto i dolci, superlativo! Abbiamo trovato pure la pizza niente male!! Un po' fuori mano. Non c'è bisogno di portare adattatori per le prese. Ci tornerei molto volentieri!

L’hôtel est très bien situé sur les hauteurs de Kandy. Le personnel est attentionné et jovial. il y a un rooftopf sur le toit offrant de jolies vues. le restaurant offre un buffet varié . Une spéciale mention à l’excellent cocktail « éléphant ride » 😉

Stayed here for 2 nights.. hotel is on top therefore very nice scenic view.. we had the breakfast and dinner buffet.. good spread.. worth it.. Rooms were big spacious and clean however has some flies and bugs on our first night.. the housekeeping rectified it immediately the next day.. Staff are very helpful and friendly.. Overall a good stay..

If for nothing else, the 180-degree view of Kandy from below the dining room of Hotel Topaz makes it worth a visit! I was a bit skeptical as we drove up the hill in dusk, but the rooms are large and clean, the staff friendly, the food excellent, and the stay is very comfortable. From our observation, Sri Lankan hotels generally suffer a little from the country's economic challenges, but Hotel Topaz is holding up better than others.
