I paid equivalent to 5 star resort ( maybe 1/4 th less for weekend stay ) . What is good - staffs are friendly & efficient & fast . Rooms are big , bathrooms are big with fan & clean . Private beach access is clean . Swimming pool is big & ok . But the biggest letdown is Reception is non ac . Very hot during checkin Dining hall is non ac . Though there is a small AC hall with 3 tables for ala carte dining . But for morning buffet is in non ac dining hall . Though food selection is good , taste is ok . But you cannot enjoy eating in hot & humid Chennai weather ( if they had charged me half of what I paid then I would have said ok but they double the prices during weekend , which is not worth it )

The hospitality was admirable. The staff are polite and courteous. Food was top notch. The Chief Chef Mr Elayaraja was very patient in understanding our needs and surprised us with an awesome food. This is the best food i have ever had in the resorts I have gone for. Sincere thanks to Mr Karthik, our coordinator who was available round the clock, Souwmi who was with us through our the session, Mr Raja who helped us solve few operational issues ,he was very humble and ensured our expectations are fulfilled. Finally thanks to Mr Senthil and team for the entire coordination.

I had an opportunity to stay at the Ideal Beach Resort & Convention Center at Mahabalipuram in Jan. 2025 while I traveled in India. The service, facilities, food, and staff (and the ocean next-door of course) were outstanding. Also, I want to take a chance to thank Sathish Kumar and his team who helped me to reach my next destination. Because my flight was canceled, they worked non-stopped (at very late hours) to arrange a taxi for me to take me to the Ayurvedic Medical center. It was about a 10-hour journey, which seemed very fast and smooth. Because of this extra effort I didn’t miss any of my treatments. That is the kind of service you can expect from Ideal Beach Resort. Thank you.

Amazing property located at the beach. Fantastic atmosphere, you can sit till late and watch the waves. Exllent food, very friendly staff ( very kind life guard on the beach, very helpful staff in the reception), all rooms facing beach. There is as well a huge swimming pools and u can enjoy relaxing massages.

Bel resort, ben tenuto e pulito, con un buon ristorante indiano, con una clientela locale ma anche di turisti stranieri alla prima o all’ultima tappa del loro viaggio in Tamil Nadu essendo in posizione ideale (a pochi minuti di Tuc Tuc) dai bei templi di Mamallapuram e non più di due ore dall’aeroporto di Chennai. Il resort, con belle camere spaziose e pulite tutte dotate di spazio esterno, affaccia sulla spiaggia. Peccato che le condizioni del mare mosso e le correnti non consentano la balneazione. Personale molto attento e gentile. Insomma lo consiglio!

L’hotel , situato in riva al mare e circondato da un bel giardino, è dotato di palazzine a due piani e si presenta molto bene. La mia camera era al pianterreno, molto ampia, accogliente e pulita. Avevo a disposizione una piccola veranda con due poltrone e un tavolino. Il personale è stato molto gentile e la colazione abbastanza buona e varia. L’hotel è dotato anche di piscina.

Nice beach resort atmosphere with scattered one and two story accommodation. Beach is close by and the water is so warm but I wouldn't swim there as the undertoe is fierce. Excellent smorgasbord for lunch and dinner and decent breakfast. Our room was comfortable although TV didn't work. Nice shower though. Very tidy grounds which add to the atmosphere

Terrible place to stay. Not recommended at all. Old rooms. AC stopped working. Fans don't work. Bathrooms got clogged with water and the drain had to be changed. The whole place stinks of urine smell. Staff not well trained. The infrastructure is not maintained properly.
