The buffet varieties are average, but it is the first time that I can see flying insects in the breakfast of a Japanese hotel. 2. The hotel rooms and corridors are relatively old. The facilities and hygiene of the rooms are poor in Japan. The male and female areas of the hot springs are exchanged every day, but there is only one open-air hot spring, and the facilities in the hot springs are also relatively old. 3. To go back and forth from Sapporo Station to the hotel, you can make an appointment for the hotel's shuttle bus in advance, which is the one in the photo, but it is charged, 2,500 yen per person one-way. There was originally a shuttle bus to Asahikawa Station, but it was cancelled as long as there were no reservations from guests a few days in advance. So if you say you need it when you arrive at the hotel, they will not arrange to open the shuttle bus, and if you do not make an appointment for the shuttle bus in advance after booking the room, the number will be limited and it will be booked out. In this regard, the hotel will not confirm with the agent in advance, and the agent will not remind the guests. This place does not have a shuttle bus and you can transfer to public transportation by yourself, which is very inconvenient. 4. There is nothing near the hotel. The nearest convenience store is a long walk away. The Daxue Hotel opposite is better than theirs. Although the hotel is also old, it has its own izakaya at night, as well as a bakery, and the hot springs will have better scenery than this one. 5. There is nothing to see in Sounkyo at this time. Generally speaking, the location of this place is inconvenient, and the hotel facilities are poor. You can only go there during the most beautiful time period. However, there are many places with good scenery in Hokkaido, and there are many places to see maple leaves. If you don't like tossing, you don't need to come here."

"We reserved a room for a night. Here is our review. The Location This hotel is resided in Sounkyo area. It’s not far from Kurodake Ropeway and the town centre. It is perfect place if you want to loam around Sounkyo. The Room The Japanese style room is large but we found a large stain on the ceiling. It seems like there was a leak from the room in the above floor. The bath room (toilet) is very small but it’s fine for us. The Service I think they are not welcome Thai guests. My girlfriend’s mom is disable. She can’t walk longer than 10 steps before failing down. So, my girl’s dad wants to temporary park at drop off area to assist her to the lobby area and drop our luggages. However, the hotel staff banish us. He told us to go to park at parking area and let us walk on the slipping floor to the front with our luggages by ourselves because he had to services the Japanese group and the bus will park at the drop off soon. The reception staff also not told us anything about private onsen, but I can read Japanese so I knew that they have the service. Even though we want to reserve private onsen but they are not let us use until 10 pm. This is not because they have full booked, but it because they don’t want to talk with us. Our Japanese friend can reserved the service early than 2 pm although they made a reservation late than us. It is so unfair, so we dropped it. On the good side, the dinner and breakfast were the best part of their service. The Amenities They provide all necessary amenities including shirt and pant for the guest. Although, we have to bring it from the lobby by ourselves."

However, the rooms are relatively old and the hygiene is OK. Yukata is also provided for guests. You might as well try the 5th floor when staying. The location is close to Galaxy Falls and Ryusei, which can be reached in 45 minutes by walk. In the other direction, Sounkyo Cable Car Station can be reached in 15 minutes by walk."

"We stayed here for 3 nights. It was busy at the time we were here. The room is clean and well equipped. The buffet, breakfast and dinner, was delicious with a good variety of food. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a free parking in front of the hotel. From the hotel it’s a short walk to the Kurodake Ropeway. It was nice to stay here in the hotel."

"This hotel is good old aged hotel, but very excellent in services , food, indoor hot spring for men and women(separate) , Utari/open air (mixed male & female use with trunk/pant/tsukino for men and seirei/ tsubaru provided at no cost). Will certainly stay again when coming to Daisetsuzan National Park next time."
