The room airconditioning was not working and even after the maintenance staff came to check, there was nothing he could do. We had to open the window and we clouldnt sleep and there was no front service staff to enquire on change of rooms.

Huge hotel hosting a lot of tour groups. There's a lounge area with toys and games that kept the little ones entertained.

We reserved a room for a night. Here is our review. The Location This hotel is resided in Sounkyo area. It’s not far from Kurodake Ropeway and the town centre. It is perfect place if you want to loam around Sounkyo. The Room The Japanese style room is large but we found a large stain on the ceiling. It seems like there was a leak from the room in the above floor. The bath room (toilet) is very small but it’s fine for us. The Service I think they are not welcome Thai guests. My girlfriend’s mom is disable. She can’t walk longer than 10 steps before failing down. So, my girl’s dad wants to temporary park at drop off area to assist her to the lobby area and drop our luggages. However, the hotel staff banish us. He told us to go to park at parking area and let us walk on the slipping floor to the front with our luggages by ourselves because he had to services the Japanese group and the bus will park at the drop off soon. The reception staff also not told us anything about private onsen, but I can read Japanese so I knew that they have the service. Even though we want to reserve private onsen but they are not let us use until 10 pm. This is not because they have full booked, but it because they don’t want to talk with us. Our Japanese friend can reserved the service early than 2 pm although they made a reservation late than us. It is so unfair, so we dropped it. On the good side, the dinner and breakfast were the best part of their service. The Amenities They provide all necessary amenities including shirt and pant for the guest. Although, we have to bring it from the lobby by ourselves.

Big hotel in Japanese Onsen town. Nice and spacious rooms with river view, big Onsen bath. Buffet meals are only average, random selection of dishes and not best quality (pro tip: stick with Japanese and avoid the Western choices)

Check in was smooth Staff also informed we were able to utilise another open air onsen at the other hotel nearby managed by the same hotel group.

Free parking. There is seafood donburi for breakfast, and unlimited salmon, scallops, and shrimp for dinner. There's also hot cocoa, coffee, popsicles and soups at the counter. Bathing in the open air feels like being next to a forest, the air is very fresh👍

The room is old, but well maintained. The bathroom is small, probably because everyone goes to the hot springs to take a bath. It's a little off the beaten track, but not far to walk. It's better to have a direct bus to Sapporo.

The room is clean, the onsen is good, but there are a lot of guests. The food is very good.

Sounkyo is a good place, with many hot spring hotels and beautiful scenery. This hotel is right next to the main road, the first big hotel, a hotel that receives Chinese, Japanese and Korean group tourists. Toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, etc., can be picked up downstairs, even yukata. The two meals included are also self-service, with the configuration of a 4-star luxury group, and you can eat enough. The room is very small and you can't turn around, but the price is here, so you can't ask for too much.
