Hotels near Gokurakuji Station, Kamakura

Location is just south of Yuhigahama Station of enoden. It is a very convenient place for sightseeing in Kamakura. I went to the inn once before after lunch on the day of my stay and kept my luggage. I was able to finish the scheduled sightseeing on this day. I decided to stay at this inn because I took foreigners, so I thought I could experience Japanese life rather than modern hotels. I was glad that the atmosphere of the general old Japanese house remained. I think the meal was delicious anyway.

Chose this place because of the price and the offer of Mount Fuji view. Certainly the view did not disappoint us, love the sea view and Mount Fuji. Room was spacious and the layout was nice though dated to some extent. The grounds looks like it need some sprucing and maintenance work. Checkin was efficient though parking came with a price. Maybe hotel should consider free parking for guests as most would be driving to get to this area. We ate at the Japanese restaurant though you had to walk in the rain on the day we were there as the restaurant was located on a annex building. Food was good and service was fine but on the higher end of prices. I like the neighbourhood vibe, there is a supermarket, hardware/pharmacy and bakery within walking distance from the hotel. There are a few restaurants by the beach and we tried the Pacific place. Prices of food along the beach are much more reasonable. Would stay here again except that traffic along this stretch of road is very bad as it is only a one lane road and traffic lights at almost every junction. Be prepare for a long and slow drive between hotel to town.

The east exit side of Kamakura Station is lively and crowded, but the west exit where Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura is located is a little quiet and has an adult atmosphere. It will end as soon as it runs out, but I got a ticket at check-in and got a free shijimi soup (because there was no shijimi on this day, it was a miso soup of cherry blossoms and wakame seaweed). You can get rice balls. The rice balls with the taste of soy sauce were very delicious. The room was a Japanese modern twin. It is a shape that takes off your shoes and goes up to tatami mats, but there are two beds. It was a very clean and calm space. Maybe there was a dead insect that seemed to have fallen from somewhere after cleaning, so I made the cleanliness check item ”good” instead of ”very good”. I think it has been cleaned very carefully from around the day. There were some equipment that had to be charged, but there were many holes in the outlet and there was nothing inconvenient in the room. Also, personally, it is very important that TV not only terrestrial broadcasting but also BS. I often turn on TV when I'm in the room, and I often don't do baseball broadcasts that I often watch on terrestrial broadcasting, so I'm very happy to see BS. My husband seemed to have not slept well for some reason, so I made it ”good” to sleep, but the bed was large and I was very comfortable. Overall, it is an inn that is very satisfied and can be recommended to the people around with confidence. It was a petite trip from the same Kanagawa Prefecture, but if you are tired of everyday life, you would like to visit even a couple.

Room view is same as photo show, is traditional homestay so didn’t have private toilet. The way to washroom and bathroom will have warmer but after bath will be very cold in winter. Is super nearby to Kailua station and opposite is one of the famous spot, Komachi St.

The hotel is really close to the Ofuna station with lots of restaurants around. We were pleasantly surprised that our rooms were upgraded when checked in. The bed was comfortable and excellent for our short stay near Kamakura.

We stayed overnight and used it for 1 nights. QR code was sent by email from the reservation to the day before the stay, and check-in was made smoothly and smoothly at check-in. When I told you that I wanted a room away from the elevator at the time of booking, I was grateful to have a corner room properly. The room was not large or not, and the bed was large and I was able to stretch my body and rest after a long time. The wind volume can be adjusted for the air conditioner, but I couldn't set the wind direction and swing, and I cut it and went to bed because it was uncomfortable. One thing I didn't like was that. It was a strong price setting of about 14500 yen for a night stay because it was during the consecutive holiday. I had no inn nearby, so I had to make a reservation, but I couldn't feel anything that was just right for the price.
