Oshin Wayanad

We stayed at Oshin Wayanad for 8 days during Onam, and honestly, it felt less like a hotel stay and more like being part of a family. Their customer service is exceptional—anything you needed was just a call away. During Onam, they went above and beyond by arranging a traditional Onam Sadyam and celebrations, complete with a staff member dressed in traditional attire. Every supplement we could have needed was provided, and every corner of the property was spotless. The toilets were impeccably clean, and the entire place was maintained to the highest standard. The restaurant and coffee spot deserve a special mention. Breakfast was included and phenomenal—they actually take live orders and prepare everything fresh. We didn’t have to settle for buffet items; the food was customized to our liking every single time. For my birthday, my partner secretly coordinated with the staff to arrange a surprise cake, which they made at their coffee place—it was called Spanish Delight—and it was perfect. Both the restaurant and coffee place had amazing food and impeccable service. By the end of our stay, we knew all the staff personally, and it really felt like saying goodbye to family. Oshin Wayanad is a place I would go back to in a heartbeat.

Over a number of years we have stayed at lots of different hotels in India ranging from 2 star to 5 star and the Oshin Hotel in Kalpetta was by far the best for us. The standards of hygiene were excellent (no bugs in sight), all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and whatever we asked for e.g. iron and ironing board, extra coat hangers, more towels etc, were produced in moments. What makes this hotel extra special are the staff, every single one of them whether it was a housemaid, reception staff, restaurant staff or manager went out of their way to help and were always cheerful and friendly. There is an onsite restaurant and coffee shop, just a couple of things to be aware of 1. The menu is predominantly Indian (well you are in India) however there are one or two European dishes available and 2 .The hotel is alcohol free but the Mocktails were delicious and we never noticed the absence of booze. We didn’t use the on site swimming pool or gymnasium but they never appeared crowded. Outside of the hotel it’s about a five minute walk to an ATM and auto rickshaws. Alternatively, if you need a taxi the hotel will arrange this for you. We had a wonderful stay and have given the Oshin Hotel a five star rating - it deserved nothing less.

Dear GM Oshin Wayanad, We went for dinner at Oshin on 24th as it was a special day for us. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for making our anniversary dinner a truly magical experience. Every detail, from the impeccable service to the delectable cuisine, was nothing short of perfection. A special mention to Mr. Adarsh, Amal Krishnan, Nikitha, Athul, and Edvin for going above and beyond to make us feel so special. Your warmth, care, and the way you looked after our little one made all the difference. Adarsh, your exceptional hospitality left us speechless—you are truly a gem and a great asset to Oshin Wayanad. Thank you for the thoughtful surprises and for creating memories that we will cherish forever!

Relatively very new and clean property with friendly staff They have gym, child play area etc. Buffet breakfast is average and not bad. Very good property to stay in the city with shops and restaurants close by. I recommend this folks who are looking for a clean and good hotel
