The only room available despite making a reservation was in the old wing where road crews stay. The bathroom was so small you could not turn around. Tub was cracked and toilet seat broken. Tv stand was broken so tv faced downward. Refrigerator shelves were missing parts that hold bottles in. Only chair was a desk chair. The floor felt rotten under the carpet. Stayed many times over the last fifteen years but will not be back.

This was our 5th stay at Dutch country inn. All 5 stays have been awesome. Very clean, quite, friendly and accommodating. Whenever we are in the Kalona area it’s the only place we stay. Highly recommend you check it out. Their breakfast that includes the best homemade cinnamon rolls we’ve tasted.

It was a very comfortable & clean room. However. I thought I booked a suite and got 2 rooms connected. 2 seperate rooms. Definitely not my definition of a suite. Beds are soft and pillows are soft. I prefer more firm. The word "suite" does not belong in the description. Front desk very friendly. My husband was crazy over the cinnamon rolls. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is i did not book 2 rooms, I booked a suite.
