First, kind thanks to Chris and Elleni, the afternoon shift front desk staff people. They were super helpful to me in arranging my program. I came at the end of the bird migration with a focus on bird watching. I hope the new owner will take the comments into consideration for the 2023 spring/summer season. This hotel is typical of the 1990s 'Greek family hotel' for summer holiday at the sea experience. It needs upgrading. When a rate is quoted to a guest, honor it. My 40 euro/night went up to 50 then 55 euro. Granted, the rate is low but changing rates not good practice. Provide hot water in the rooms and showers for afternoon and evening hot (not lukewarm) showers. Upgrade the showers and get rid of the cheap plastic shower curtains. Upgrade the room fridges to quiet modern small fridges. Provide proper mattress toppers on the rock hard single beds pushed together for a bigger bed. I was given two small foam things that were probably lounge chair cushions. The rock hard mattress is not good for older people. Provide pillows that are not rock hard or totally worn out. Provide coffee and biscuits for the birders in the spring and fall migration (turn on the coffee machine and put out some biscuits around 6:30 am). Provide the 'bird location update board' in the fall as well as spring. Upgrade the plumbing and drainage in the bathrooms. Ask the dog owners next door to put the yapping dog into a kennel for the night (impossible I know, but worth consideration as the dog barks all night). Consider having the kitchen provide fresh cooked eggs 'on demand' not just fried eggs cooked and sitting for hours or cold hard boiled eggs. Also have some 'gluten free' options for baked goods. This may mean buying them, freezing them and offering them to a guest upon request. Have the artisan bakery bread cut in the kitchen. Guests did not understand how to hold the napkin on the bread to cut it so everyone's dirty hands were on the bread.
