Pasiphae Hotel

My wife and I first visited Lesbos in May, 2024. We stayed at the Pasiphae Hotel in Skala Kallonis, on a bed and breakfast basis. Although the rooms were dated and tired, you don’t spend the day in your room and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. The breakfast spread was fantastic with a wonderful array of hot and cold food on offer. Consequently, when we returned to Lesbos in May, 2025 we chose to stay at this hotel again; the transformation was incredible. The rooms and bathrooms had all been completely refurbished to a high standard; surely no-one could have any complaints now. My thoughts are with the Hotel Manager, Bill. Bill and his team work very hard and don’t always get the appreciation they deserve. Bill lets you get on with your holiday without being in your face. This doesn’t mean he’s miserable or unfriendly. My wife and I have always found Bill approachable and helpful. I fear some people will never be satisfied. It should also be pointed out that Bill is communicating with non-Greek guests in his second language. He is to be commended for his command of the English language. I have just booked our next visit to this hotel. We’re not waiting until next year this time, we’re coming back for another 2 weeks stay commencing on 28th September, 2025. See you soon Bill! Lovely clean hotel set in mature gardens, the rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard . the staff are oh so friendly , there are a lot of steps though so if you have mobility issues choose one of the ground floor swim up rooms . Bill the owner could not apologise enough when he saw that I had a walking stick and had been allocated one of the first floor rooms , he would have moved us but there was no availability at the time for a ground floor room . The non swim up rooms do not have a kettle but just ask at reception and they will provide one there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool area , even after the towel brigade had been down first thing to claim theirs there was still plenty left to choose from. Although the hotel was full the pool area never felt crowded The pool is deep so if you are like us non swimmers , chooses a swim up room which gives you a chance to take a dip The pool bar was well stocked and reasonably priced , the bar staff served up better cocktails than could be had in many of the bars in the village Breakfast was a laid back affair with a large selection of hot and cold food on offer The village is a ten minute walk away but with my mobility issues I couldn,t make it after the second day but Bill kindly arranged taxi,s for us each night, at just 5 euros each way it was a godsend BBQ night and Kareoke night were fun , how someone can ruin a song with only three words in it is beyond me lol All in all , although I felt limited in what I could do because of my mobility issues we had a very pleasant week at the Pasiphae and I would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Skala Kallonis I can,t leave this review without a special mention to Bill the owner who went above and beyond making sure that every one had a good holiday

This is the perfect hotel for a relaxing holiday. It is spotless with comfortable rooms and beds. I saw a review about broken sunbeds but we saw someone checking and carrying out any repairs on more than one occasion. The staff are very friendly and helpful- they are a credit to Bill. The barbecue is a fun night with plenty of meat and delicious salads with entertainment from Greek dancers. The pool is lovely for cooling off with plenty of pool noodles available. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll from the town and there are quiet local roads if you enjoy walking.

Would like to start with thanking Bill & his team, another great time at the Pasaphia, improvements to hotel are spot on, you must go to the barbecue night the food & entertainment are great, Bill is the barbecue king, again me met some lovely people & the new dancers at barbecue were fantastic, this for us was the best barbecue we have been to, Thanks again Bill for a great time. Firstly shout out to the wonderful owners, what a fabulous couple . Hard work always gets my attention.The grounds and main pool area superbly kept. Rooms and swim up pool, pristine house keeping.( Efxharisto Zeeta and Maria). If there would be a problem, everything or anything would be done, possibly to fix the issues.I noticed this with various visitors asking for help. Bonus when you need support on Vacation!!!Big hug to the owners. All shops, bakeries supermarkets and beach, restaurants, ,all accessible with a ten/fifteen mins walk.Lesvos has something for everyone. The Zimbabwean/Chinese Trio

First time on Lesbos, this hotel was a great base of operations. Swim Up room was brilliant, although room itself is a little cramped if there are three of you. Was great being able to swim or use sun loungers in peace and quiet, especially after a busy day of exploring the island. During the day the barn swallows flit around the pool, and at night you can watch bats coming down for a drink and feasting on the insects that are attracted by the pool lights. One comment re the swim Up pool: during the day it seems to attract all the bees, who dive bomb into the water and then eventually drown. If the drainage channel at the side of the pool was filled with large stones or gravel it would allow the bees a way to escape, while still letting water filter out as intended. The main pool was also very good. Plenty of sun loungers and a really decent depth. Wouldn't be great for smallnkids who can't swim tho, We're all a decent height and could only touch the bottom right at the shallow end. Breakfast was decent but could do with more variety. I love nice crusty bread, sadly this wasn't on offer. The cooked stuff was better than most (bacon, eggs (scrambled or poached), sausage) but my preference is Continental and the selection was very repetitive after a week. There was a daily changing item but was a bit hit or miss. One day it was pancakes and these were brilliant! All the staff we interacted with were lovely and friendly. Daily housekeeping did a brilliant and efficient job, room was always spotless when we returned - sometimes as early as after breakfast. Very short walk to both beach or village. Lovely selection of bars and restaurants in the village and the sea at the beach is shallow and warm. Summary: clean, friendly, comfortable hotel. Great main pool and swim up rooms really elevate this place above the competition.
