Merlot Hotel Kalkan

Wow! What a find. One of our fave hotels we've ever stayed in. The adage 'all good things come in small packages' comes into the play here, The rooms are simple so dont expect the Ritz but what you do get is exemplary service. The pool is amazing and the hotel is spotlessly clean. We often felt we had the pool to ourselves and we were in our own luxury villa. The breakfast,,,,,, ohhh the breakfast, I used to be excited to see what had been prepared. Best jams ever and wonderful Turkish dished. The best thing though.... Teff, Turknan, Gan and the lady who's name we didn't catch made us so very welcome. They were just so nice all the time and even waved us off when we left! We will definitely letting people know about this hotel. Finally, don't miss 'Teff Who' Teff, the owners DJ name, go and see him play at 'Woon' his rooftop bar. If you went raving in the 90's he'll put you in mind of a young Sasha, he really is worth seeing, Teşekkürler guys!!! Greg and Colin.

This small hotel is just beautiful. Very clean all round. The pool has the most stunning views, good quality sun beds & towels available. A bit of a stroll to the harbour but can easily get a taxi back. The staff are extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

I stayed at the Merlot hotel for a week with family and friends and can honestly say this the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The family who run the hotel are lovely and could not do enough to help, they even arranged a birthday cake for a member of the family with less than 24 hours, the cake was delicious and they acted as if nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are clean with an amazing view from the balcony, the pool area is fantastic and also extremely clean. A bonus was the breakfast each morning- this was fresh and each morning was different. I would 100% recommended this hotel!

Amazing location and great service. Everything you need in a hotel and the facilities were lovely. The views were amazing from the hotel and the balconies. Can’t express how great the staff were and would 100% recommend this hotel!

We booked this hotel very last minute after deciding to visit Kalkan for a short 6 day break. The hotel is very pretty with lots of gorgeous flowers and a beautiful sea view from all rooms. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. We travelled with 2 teenage daughters so they had their own room which was next door to ours. The balcony’s are small but we actually enjoyed sitting in the comfy chairs in the terrace area for pre dinner drinks, and often enjoyed a quiet drink when we returned from our evening our in the old town. Tev the manager couldn’t do enough for us, we had the most gorgeous breakfast laid out for us each morning which was so varied and plentiful, Tevs mum does the cooking and it was all so fresh and tasty. The hotel was very quiet which suited us as we had pool to ourselves and felt like we had private villa but with waiter! The location of this hotel is perfect as it’s on the Kalamar road and has lots of nearby restaurants which we could walk to for lunch and we hopped in taxi for evenings in the old town. Having visited Kalkan quite a few times this was the first time in hotel but wouldn’t hesitate returning to Merlot again.
