Patriko Villa

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa Patriko. Alles war perfekt, sauber und Nantia war eine herausragende Gastgeberin. Als wir ankamen, war extra Essen vorbereitet, welches fantastisch geschmeckt hat. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Tausend Sterne!

I don't even know where to start, my friends and I were so enthusiastic about our stay at Villa Patriko.😍 So I'll try to break it down a bit: • Communication Communication with our lovely host Nantia was super uncomplicated & extremely nice. She is an incredibly good host who really puts in a lot of effort. She gave us loads of tips for our stay. We tried some of them & all of them were worth their weight in gold! We were also very touched that she cooked/baked Cretan delicacies especially for us. There was also homemade olive oil, raki & fresh fruit. You don't know this kind of hospitality in Germany. So we were very happy about it. Thank you Nantia! ♥ 🥰 • The villa The accommodation is beautiful. It is large, clean and really offers more than you need (pool, 2 terraces, beautiful garden, grill, pizza oven, washing machine...). We really enjoyed grilling here, eating with a sea view in the evening & watching the goats in the mountains opposite at breakfast. Every day a few friendly cats came and every now and then the sweet and trusting village dog "Sifis" paid us a visit. They were always welcome guests and there was absolutely no need to be afraid of them because they have such a sweet disposition. After just one night my girlfriend said "I've only been here one night, but I can already feel the slowing down." I and the others felt the same and it was really hard for us to leave the villa on the last day. But one thing is for sure: we'll be back!!! ♥😊 • The place The village in which the villa is located is small but nice. Here you are away from tourism (at least that was the case in April) and that was exactly what we wanted. None of us are fans of the hustle and bustle of tourist areas and would rather be close to nature and get a glimpse of typical Cretan life. All the people we met here were incredibly friendly and it felt like we had been here forever.😂 By the way, there are incredibly good restaurants here at very fair prices and with really delicious dishes. We really treated ourselves.🤤 Otherwise, you can just go for a nice walk/hike here, e.g. to Falasarna beach. A rental car is definitely an advantage, though, as it is a bit remote. We often used it to go on day trips or do some major shopping. By the way, it was so beautiful here in April: there are flowers everywhere, there are so many bees and the nature is so beautifully green that you are not used to in other parts of Crete. Some people we met in Iraklio and Chania said that the west of Crete is the most beautiful part of the island.
