Samarth ATC-Beach Home Stay

During our 3 days trip to Ratnagiri, we found Samarth Atc - Beach Homestay, a hidden gem, situated right next to a private beach and offers the perfect getaway from the city's bustle. This place is highly recommended to people who are looking for a place where they can enjoy peace, privacy, ***** with the love of nature and also get amazing authentic local food. Hospitality: We felt extremely cared for and comfortable to have the owners and host Manish and Mitali, his wife, around to look after all our needs. Manish uncle is always on hand for any request we might have. He was very prompt to help us figure out the places to see nearby and arrange any kind of vehicle for our commute. Also, the kind and friendly staff provided the best service. Food: Non-veg and seafood lovers can look forward to and enjoy a sumptuous feast for every meal. We tried pomfret thali/meal, crab thali/meal and surmai thali/meal, and each item on the plate served to us was absolutely mind blowing, and in addition to that, prawns fry starter was a dish to die for. (I bet the attached photos will make you hungry). But even if you are a vegetarian, you will have a lot of customized options, as per your requirement. The veg masala baingan thali/meal we had was finger-licking good. Activities: At this serene location, tucked away from the bustle of the city, you can enjoy stargazing by the beach at night and birdwatching by day. The house owner had arranged for a scooter for us upon request and at minimal charges to explore the temples, beach, the local village, and other beautiful places nearby. He can also help to hire and book a rickshaw, if requested. And if you wish to do nothing at all, then there are a couple of hammocks on the property where you can just lie down and relax, forgetting about all your worries. Rooms: There are 2 types of rooms which can very well accommodate small as well as big groups/families. We stayed in the big and beautiful stone villa. The entire property is well-maintained and has an authentic rustic charm. Taking a seat outside on the balcony lets you forget about everything in the world as you listen to the birds chirping and the waves crashing on the beach. As we were just 2 ladies traveling and exploring, i would confidently say its a cozy, safe and comfortable place even for solo travellers. It is certainly my recommendation to anyone looking for a rejuvenating, serene, quiet, safe and budget-friendly stay. You will definitely fall in love with this place and will want to return again! With extremely helpful staff and delicious food, this place won’t disappoint you. P. S.: This place is pet-friendly and houses 3 most cute, adorable and friendly doggos you will ever meet. :D

We, family of 4 visited Samarth ATC in September third week for a change from our routine city life....It was a blissful. peaceful and pleasant stay. The village is quiet and peaceful. Beach is just 10 steps away from the cottages. No crowd at all. The beach has abundance of shells in different shapes and designs. We collected few unique ones :-). The three lovely companions Leo, Dolly & Lola who make sure you enjoy each beach wave safely. Our kids enjoyed the company of Leo and Dolly so much that they wanted to extend our stay. Homecooked food was tasty. Veg thali, Fish thali, Egg masala and Fried chicken....the taste was great and yumm. The host Mr. Manish and his team are doing great job. His team includes an uncle who helps you with small requests and aunties who are cooking and serving the delicious , tasty food. The whole team including Leo & Dolly together makes your stay memorable and wanting to go visit Kalbadevi beach and Samarth Homestay once again. Ratnagiri city tour by local auto guy Hrushikesh was also good. Thibaw palace, Ratnagiri aquarium, Tilak house were the places which we visited for our kid's fun and knowledge.
