So, if you want exceptional service, lovely accommodation, great food especially the Lagoon Prawns which were so good we got a plateful each the next day look no further than the Villa Blu in Tangelle. Kamal and his team just want to make your stay as special as they possibly can and if we ever return to Tangelle we would definitely stay again. A little bit of paradise.

Villa Blue was the best surprise and find in Sri Lanka. Wonderful villa, beautiful beach, quiet surroundings and what a great service. Manager Kamal-we all love you, you made our stay perfect. Friendly, intelligent and caring person. We felt like we were visiting our best friend who only wants to offer us the best. Thank you so much for your warm welcome 🥰 The whole team deserves recognition. They always offered more than we expected. Thank you to supervisor Mithun. Friendly, always smiling and talking about local life. Chef Mithun-offered us the best seafood you can find in Sri Lanka. Room boy Lakshan - friendly, very thorough work and always give a little surprise in the room 🙂

The pictures, plenty beautiful here, don’t begin to do Villa Blu justice. It is stunning, elegant, serene and more. The service was super attentive. The food generous and absolutely delicious. The setting is magnificent - along an empty beach. The air conditioning works great and you do need it. The only disappointment was the WiFi. Which is ifffy at best. It would have been good to know that at the outset. But still - highly highly recommend.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa Blu war einfach nur perfekt! Wir waren für 5 Nächte Ende Oktober dort und hatten zufällig die Villa für uns. Das gesamte Team um Kamal war wunderbar. Wir haben uns die ganze Zeit unglaublich wohl gefühlt und konnten deshalb perfekt entspannen! Kamal hat uns die Touren zum Yala Nationalpark, Rekawa Turtle Beach und eine Bootstour in der Lagune organisiert. Alles davon war traumhaft! Kamal ist sehr aufmerksam und kann die Wünsche seiner Gäste von deren Augen ablesen. Das Essen in der Villa war jedes Mal ausgezeichnet. Zum Abschied haben wir auf Nachfrage sogar noch ein paar handgeschriebene Rezepte von Kamal bekommen. Die Lage und die Ausstattung inklusive Pool der Villa sind ausgezeichnet! 100% Empfehlung und Zufriedenheitsgarantie.

We had a very nice stay at Villa Blu, we got an upgrade. Our room was excellent, the food was excellent and the poeple are very friendly. The Coffee is very good. Specially made,every cup. The fruit, breakfast. Everything. The swimming pool is nice when the ocean is to rough to swim. We were there at the and of the season,so then a pool is very nice after a rough walk along the sea. Our last dinner was very special,in the garden,by candellight and music as well. We feel gratefull!

😊 The place is beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly. I am especially thankful to Lakmal. Because he treated us like family. Thank you too Kamal. Breakfast has an incredible variety of cravings. But there is a small problem. Kamal prepared a seafood platter for our dinner. Kamal said there was fresh fish, but the fish we got was very old and had no taste.

Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Sri Lanka Rundreise.
Kamal und sein Team sind stets bemüht, den Urlaub der Gäste unvergesslich zu gestalten.
Das Frühstück wird à la carte serviert und bietet reichlich Auswahl.
Man hat die Möglichkeit, Mittag- und Abendessen im Hotel einzunehmen, was sehr lecker, preislich allerdings etwas höher anzusiedeln ist.
Die Lage ist fantastisch. Man kann stundenlang am Strand entlang spazieren.
TukTuk‘s können jederzeit organisiert werden, um die nächstgelegenen Ortschaften/ Highlights zu erkunden.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der stets gepflegte Pool.
Zu erwähnen ist auch der kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellte Kaffee/ Tee am Nachmittag inkl. Kekse.
Wir können die Unterkunft bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen und freuen uns hoffentlich schon bald wieder hierher zurückzukommen ☀️

Fabulous. If you’re looking for tranquility, high quality accommodation, attentive staff, varied and tasty food, all packaged up with a beachfront location- this is the place for you. If you’re lucky enough to be in the room above the dining area you’ll be rewarded with a large balcony and enormous en-suite. Would come again for sure
