Cali Mykonos

A 40 villa resort with some of the best in class amenities and service, Cali Mykonos presents itself as a young and fun version of the perhaps more refined resorts such as Kalesma or Bill&Coo on the other side of the island. The manager Mathilda and team ensured the whole checkin process was smooth and was always at hand to explain the intricacies of the resort and recommendations on the island. The hotel features the longest salt water pool on the island and individual pool villas were also heated to a temperate 28 degrees celsius. While Cali is located on the eastern tip of the island, the complimentary shuttle to Little Venice and to/from airport/port makes the experience very convenient. The private beach on Cali also exudes a sense of quiet luxury that is a good respite from the more vibrant beach clubs like Nammos nearby. Service was always warm and the team makes an effort to remember the preferences of each guests, making this place feel more like home. While the breakfast selection and seaside activities could do with more variety, Cali is very welcoming of feedback as they look to improve this relatively new hotel. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely be our choice of stay on our next trip to Mykonos.

We just got back from Cali Mykonos and wish we were still there! If you don't have time to read a long review, I'll summarize by saying it is amazing, special and definitely worth it. I am a seasoned luxury traveler and a bit high maintenance and Cali exceeded all expectations and was truly an excellent experience: the facilities, the food, the staff, the service, the location, everything. Now for the details: I was traveling to Mykonos with my husband on a romantic trip without the kids, coming from New York via Paris. Booking was easy, Cali's website was very helpful but we booked through AmEx travel to get the various perks offered. It is expensive but for a luxury property it is not overpriced and you definitely get your money's worth. Hotel provides easy transfers from airport. Arrived to a friendly professional welcome and tour of the property. The resort is stunningly beautiful. Very instagrammable for you younger travelers. This was the perfect setting for us as an adult couple but we noticed many other types of travelers including chic families with children and groups of friends in their 20's and 30's. The vibe is calm luxury- very cool and stylish but not the crazy party scene you might find elsewhere in Mykonos which is exactly what we wanted. It is not a big resort and did not feel crowded even when fully booked. I would not recommend Cali (or Mykonos in general) for someone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs and hills. The rooms are attractive, modern and stylish. The one and only thing that I wish was different about the rooms was the bathrooms. While beautiful, they do not have doors separating them from the bedroom, and for me personally I like the bathroom to be separated by a proper door. The toilet areas have swinging frosted glass doors, and while they do provide visual privacy, they do not provide any sound privacy. So if you are in the bedroom, you will hear what your travel companion is doing in the toilet, which I really don't like. But this is certainly not a big deal and everything else was great. We stayed in two different room types while there. If you are willing to spend the money, the Grand Villa One Bedroom is worth it and has such incredible views and layout and private pool (many rooms have private pools)... major wow factor, just wow! Guests use a WhatsApp communication system that makes it very easy and efficient to ask questions or make requests. They instantly brought me a steamer for my wrinkled clothes. They instantly brought softer pillows and mattress topper for me when I requested softer bedding. They were happy to arrange (and rearrange) our dinner reservations and gave great advice about plans. All of the staff were patient and easygoing and very professional and helpful and friendly. But one person stands out as a true star: Matilda, she is a gem and Cali is very lucky to have her. If you have an issue, she will solve it and with pleasure. She is warm, understanding and beyond

This hotel is absolutely stunning, the views are breathtaking! We had such a wonderful holiday, the food was incredible and the staff were so helpful and lovely. The hotel has a boat so we had a trip on that one morning where they took us to some private beach spots which was magical. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

I could say the 3rd time is the charm but so were the first and second visits of ours to this extraordinary property. My husband and I travel quite a bit and have very few places on repeat. Cali Mykonos is an exception. The location is quiet and peaceful Mykonos. If you’re looking for the party atmosphere please visit the other end of the island and keep Cali as an unspoiled sanctuary. Service is impeccable. The staff are always available and very willing to serve you in any way- recommending particular dishes or cocktails to offering rides up the hill in the golf cart to buckets of ice walked down to you at the beach. I should include here that Cali has a secluded beach (the public can access it but few do) with substantial lounge chairs with cushions and umbrellas and tables, and the pool bar staff will follow you down the hillside with towels and buckets of ice and boxed water while you contemplate whether you’d like sun or shade any given day. And they’ll regularly make the trek back and forth up and down to the beach to refill your ice, replenish your water, offer cocktails and lunch and they do so with such polite manners and demeanor. The food is outstanding. We’ve seen multiple iterations over the past three years but have enjoyed all of it. Apollo’s Bar is now open for sunset drinks and lite bites. There’s also fine dining in the evening at the main restaurant. We loved the complimentary breakfast with many options that even after 8 days we still enjoyed the options and had a hard time choosing. (I love the guacamole toast, the breakfast wrap, the yogurt bowl and the rice pudding. Try a fredo cappuccino or my favorite, an iced latte with oat milk.) The pool bar menu is also delicious and our favorite is the spreads/dips with pita and zucchini chips but you can also get a burger, sushi, pasta or a perfectly cooked fish with vegetables. We do occasionally leave and try other restaurants on the island but do a lot of eating right at Cali because you’ll see- once you’re there you don’t really need to leave. Perhaps the reason why Cali is so magical is the stunning location. (The ocean views and hues of blues are simply beautiful.) But it’s also because of the employees who care for the place and its guests. They seem to respect both the environment and the ambiance of this place. And now I must mention Matilda. She is the ultimate hostess of hospitality. We’ve taken her recommendations from restaurants to boat trips and we always end up loving whatever new thing it is that we are trying. (Highly recommend the half day boat trip to Delos with lunch and swimming!) This concierge (and more!) never tires, always takes time to check in with every guest, and will do anything she can to make you happy. She is Wonder Woman. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The resort itself is breathtakingly beautiful. Perched on a hillside with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, it felt like a private paradise. The design is elegant and minimalist, blending perfectly with the island’s natural beauty. Our suite was spotless and luxurious, with every detail thoughtfully considered—from the plush bedding to the private pool overlooking the sea. The atmosphere at Cali was incredibly serene. Whether we were lounging by the infinity pool, enjoying world-class cuisine at the restaurant, or simply relaxing in our room, everything felt effortless and indulgent. I honestly wish I could have spent my entire trip here. It was that special. Every moment at Cali felt like a dream I didn’t want to wake up from. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning my return. Cali Mykonos is more than a resort—it’s an experience. One I’ll never forget.

There are few words that can accurately describe the magic and luxury that is Cali Mykonos. From the moment you arrive, you feel as though you are escaping reality and met with the most friendly, attentive and incredibly professional staff offering endless golf cart rides, recommendations and opportunities to elevate your experience. The rooms and architecture are stunningly sleek and natural Mykonian style that give you a feeling of connection to the organic elements of the island and culture. Private beaches, the longest infinity pool in Mykonos, a luxury outdoor gym (with multiple, daily fitness classes) and five-star quality food and drinks- this place has everything you can want in a vacation resort. They also offer boat cruises around the ocean and to other islands as well as numerous shuttles to/from town daily. It's impossible to not feel refreshed, relaxed and grateful being in a place surrounded by such elegance, beauty, serenity and genuine kindness and hospitality. I will remember this stay and vacation for the rest of my life and am already planning on how I can come back to experience this again with my friends and loved ones.
