No air conditioning OR fan! Went to bed to the sound of very LOUD, live disco music from the pool area. I complained repeatedly but ended up having to use ear plugs, hold the pillow over my ear, and eventually take a sleeping pill. In the morning, unbelievably, I woke to loud construction noise as they were erecting scaffolding for renovations right across the hall from my bedroom door. Then they let it be known that they had fumigation of the entire hotel (including the beds) at 10AM. I made sure to get out of there before that.

Sebastian hosted an incredible reception on January 5th, setting a high standard for the rest of the year. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were exceptional, making it a must-visit spot. A great place for all Kenyans & Africans to visit.

The service and rooms were really good. Hot showers, clean rooms, fresh air, good food and friendly staff. Only challenge met was when a festival was being held on ground that made a lot of noise till 2am. And the picky eaters in our group didn't like a few of the food selections, but found others much better. But really appreciate them taking care of the elderly in our group. They felt warm and welcomed.

The food was amaizing especially the choma which was prepared by chef Henry kissianger. I really loved the service of lucy and wein i really appreciate it considering the place was full. I'd love to go there the next time and the other. Thank you Golf Hotel

We were welcomed by Collins and his colleagues, who made us feel at home immediately. We had amazing food, a lovely Tilapia straight from lake Victoria. The swimming pool is well maintained and looked so tempting. It is a perfect getaway from the busy town with its beautiful calming gardens. We will definitely come back here soon.

We had an excellent experience with The Golf Hotel kakamega as Sndbx Ubuntu during our recent 5 week conference meetings. The meeting package was exceptional, with state-of-the-art facilities and seamless arrangements that made our training event run smoothly. The catering services were top-notch, offering a diverse selection of delicious and well-presented meals that impressed all attendees. The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and ensured every detail was taken care of, from AV setup to personalized requests. The conference room was spacious, well-equipped, and conducive to productivity. This hotel exceeded our expectations and provided an outstanding experience. Highly recommended for business events and conferences!

Rooms are nice, food is good. Staff is friendly. Check in and out is easy. The grounds are beautiful too. I really liked the breakfast and the coffee. The buffet dinner is a bit expensive but good. I think this is the best place to stay in kakamega.

Best spot in Kakamega for international travel
We had an incredible time at Golf Hotel! The staff were very friendly and the prices were affordable. The Kenyan hospitality shined through during our time here. In particular, we enjoyed the service of one of the employees, Shadrack. We will certainly be back here during our next stay in Kakamega! Safe, secure, and comfortable!
