Person at check in was very friendly and helpful, recommended some points of interest with a map during our visit. The room was very clean and quiet during the night with great background views.
The only minor issues was the shower pressure, slow floor drainage and no kitchen sink.

The facilities are relatively complete, but the room is too dark and looks a bit depressing. The washroom is a bit shabby. A few of our lights were broken, and the little girl in charge immediately brought a ladder and replaced them.

Great value for a restful night’s sleep
Great value in a recently remodeled, very comfortable motel, about five minutes drive from town center and two block walk from the ocean.
Manager extremely responsive to our every request and tips for the best restaurant (Pier Hotel) serving crayfish, a local favorite, including getting a great table with a view.
The rooms face the parking lot, but the price saving over waterfront view hotels more than paid for our upscale dinner.
Kaikoura has a great seaside vibe and just enough to do without being overcrowded.
Would definitely stay here again.
