The location was very satisfactory, the front desk service was excellent, and I could understand why there are so many guests. There were no particular problems inside the room, but there was nothing particularly good about it, and unfortunately there was nothing outstanding about this hotel that would make me want to stay here again. There were no problems with the breakfast, but the variety of bread was disappointingly small compared to the side dishes.

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

The rooms are not very spacious. There is a simple desk, but it is a chair without a backrest. There is a small refrigerator, but it is not very good at cooling drinks, so I don't think it will be useful in the summer. I stayed here on a business trip, so it is fine if you only use it to sleep.

It is a business hotel located in the downtown Tenmonkan in Minami Kyushu, but it was only called ”Rem”, and I was able to sleep well as rarely for me to sleep until I was woken up by the alarm clock. People who go to yakiniku etc. for dinner will probably find it very popular. The rooms are comfortable, but the public bath is recommended.

In the Astronomy-dori area, it is very convenient to eat and drink around. The airport bus is diagonally opposite. You can take the tram to Kagoshima Chuo Station, which is about a ten-minute drive away. The room is much smaller than the Yamato Rune in Kumamoto. They put an extra bed on the sofa for us, but there was no place for the suitcases, so we had to put it away by ourselves. There is a bedside table in the middle of the 1.2-meter double bed, which cannot be put together, so it is crowded for two adults and one child to sleep. The room is cleaned once every three days, and the garbage can be placed at the door. There is not even mineral water. The front desk is on the second floor, and there is only one elevator, so you often have to wait for a long time. The price is not expensive. Four nights for two adults and one child is only a little over two thousand. I may not choose this hotel next time. I stayed 2 nights at thesunflex. The location is excellent with decent sized rooms and our deal included breakfast You can choose from 3 types. You will have to pay for parking i believe tobe 900 yen.not far from the hotel is an excellent bakery called sumomo whichhas tasty products which are 110 to 160 yen so fantastic prices. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Easy walk to the sakurajima ferry and many bars and restaurants within walking distance.

I stayed in an ocean view twin room on the 5th floor for one night from June 10th (Saturday). Unfortunately, due to the rain, we were unable to do the ocean SUP that we had planned. This hotel, Sekisui House, is located next to a roadside station and has been opened all over the country for the purpose of revitalizing and interacting with local communities, and Marriott is responsible for its operation. It is a complete ”hotel specializing in lodging,” and meals and activities are provided at nearby local facilities. As it is run by Marriott, the rooms were clean and functionally laid out, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Also, the view of Kinko Bay from the room was wonderful, and there was a beautiful beach right in front of me, so I thought it was a perfect location for swimming in the summer. However, there is no bathtub, and there are no hot spring facilities at the adjacent roadside station, so as a Japanese person who prefers bathtubs, I feel a little unsatisfied. The multipurpose lounge on the first floor was very calm, well-designed, and very comfortable. Here, they provided free services such as coffee and miso soup, as well as a microwave and toaster, all of which were of good quality.
