美作三湯を巡る旅で訪れた奥津温泉。 中国山地の山深い場所にあります。 池田屋さんはこの地を代表する老舗旅館で古さを残しつつも近年リニューアルしたことを今回予約の段階で知りました。 リバービューの客室に美味しい料理の数々。 そして特筆すべきは温泉です。 無色透明で上品さの感じられるお湯は肌への泡付きが見て楽しめる炭酸水素塩泉。 絶妙なぬる湯は暑くなるこれからの季節にはたまりませんね。 源泉かけ流しなので源泉マニアの方にもおすすめです。

奥津温泉にある旅館。奥津荘、東和楼の並びにあります。日帰り入浴で利用させていただきました。入浴料1000円。2階にある内風呂を案内されました。タイルばりの美しい浴室。奥津温泉の源泉がかけ流しで浴槽からオーバーフローしています。東和楼や奥津荘と比べるとぬるめの温泉。やさしい泉質で身体がとろけそうな感じ。とてもいい温泉てす。

初めて泊まる奥津温泉、だが温泉街はさびれた感じでちょっと寂しい思いがしました。温泉は自家源泉で加温加水無しのぬるめの源泉かけ流しでしたが、冬場は入浴を遠慮したいと思いました。食事はメニュー・品数に気遣いされていて、美味しくいただきました。宿は雰囲気のあるたたずまいで、奥津川を眺めながら落ち着いてゆっくり過ごすことが出来ました

大雪の日で宿にたどり着くのが大変でした。津山市の辺りには積雪がありませんでしたが、この辺りは30センチ位は積もっていてスタッドレスタイヤで無ければ無理でした。 古い建物は味わいが有りました。 ただ、寒かったです。 温泉はぬる湯で、長時間入る事を勧めていただきました。大雪の日にはなかなか温まりませんでしたが、陽気が良ければ良さそうです。 男女別の温泉は朝晩入れ替わりで、こじんまりとした感じでした。 館内にはゆかりある棟方志功さんの作品があちこちかざられていました。 お料理は綺麗に盛り付けられていて、丁寧に調理されていて満足できました。
