Beautiful onsen outside. Beautiful meals with gorgeous dishes and incredible personal service. Rooms were very comfortable and lovely. Some of the food was a bit odd for western tourists but there was more than enough to enjoy. We loved a day trip to Natadera. One of the most memorable temples we visited in Japan and the least crowded. Walk along the gorge also was nice. The town appeared interesting but was mostly closed on Tuesday when we were there.

北陸の旅は随分久し振り。今回は家族の祝い事でこの宿を利用しました。 エントランスに車を停めると直ぐにスタッフが鞄等の荷物を運んでくれます。バレーパーキング式の為、車の移動は不要でキーをスタッフに渡すだけ。 食事は夕食、朝食ともに美味しくいただきました。地元の食材を使った料理のどれにも手間がかかっているのが分かります。盛り付けも丁寧で作り手の真摯な姿勢が伝わってきますね。 料理の美味しさに加え、給仕の方の応対も気持ち良く、使われている食器も美しく目を楽しませてくれます。これらの要素がより一層、料理を引き立ててくれますね。 近頃ではコストを抑える為でしょうか、ホテルも旅館もスタッフを減らす傾向にあるように感じますが、ここの宿は十分なスタッフの配置がされており、安心&満足できるものでした。 連れの者にも大好評で、ここの宿のお陰で思い出深い良い旅行になりました。

I would rate this travel experience a 10 plus. This 5 generation family run Ryokan achieves excellence at every turn. From the moment I checked in till the moment I left, I was awed by the attention to detail, the comfort, the unique design, and the warm hospitality. Stylishly built from the ground up, along the Yamanaka River George, it is expertly run by the Amada family. The newest generation of owners Manami & Kohei, a husband and wife team, are consumate hoteliers well beyond their years.. Along with Kohei's mama san, they have brought every special unique aspect to my two night classic Japanese stay. The breakfast and dinner service meals were carefully thought out, beautifully presented and delicious. I can't speak highly enough of this experience. I arrived from a hectic 5 day business trip in Korea, and left in a culturally relaxed state of bliss. Thank you to Manami and Kohei for curating every aspect. I will truly cherish the memories. I only hope that I can return with my wife next time. Book now - don't even hesitate this adventure.

Unfortunately, the rooms were old and hadn't been renovated for a long time, making it difficult to use the inn.The restaurant had been renovated and was clean, but considering the rooms, I don't think it's worth the high price.The food... , it's a system where you make your own choices after being shown to your room. I think it would be easier to understand if I included a photo of this one. It's confusing if you're not used to it. The food was delicious as it was freshly prepared, but it was served elsewhere in the restaurant. The separation between the two rooms is vague, and the voices of people sitting in other seats are noisy, so it is not comfortable for people who want to eat quietly.The restaurant cannot be called a high-class inn.

Clean and stylish rooms that are thoroughly cleaned, staff members who are attentive while maintaining a safe distance from each other, and beautiful and delicious kaiseki cuisine made with the master chef's taste.Always clean. The large public bath and open-air bath are well-equipped with towels and supplies. I enjoyed my first a la carte kaiseki meal and chose the menu, and the seasoning and presentation were perfect. Also, my husband is Italian, but he's not used to having rice, miso soup, and fish in the morning, so I asked him if he could switch to a Western breakfast if possible, and he kindly agreed. I had a Japanese breakfast on the first day, but my husband's Western breakfast was also very appealing, so I asked him the day before if I could have a Western breakfast on the second day, even though I knew it would be impossible. I was able to enjoy a Japanese breakfast on the first day and a Western breakfast on the second day. This is my 4th visit with my husband. When I entered the entrance, I was puzzled by the renewal of the feeling like a modern interior salone. The room was well cleaned, and I took a nap with the scent of my favorite tatami mats. It was great to be able to take a relaxing bath in both the bath and the open-air bath. I went to the dining room with high hopes for the food, and started eating with draft beer. Has our tongue changed? I felt that the saltiness of the bowl was strong and the soup stock was thin. I chose this inn because I wanted to go eat crab. It has a modern lobby, shop, and restaurant. The rooms are purely Japanese style. It's a relaxing inn. The crab was delicious and I was very satisfied. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and comfortable, which enhances the taste of the food. However, the shop is too stylish, so although it's fun to look at, it doesn't feel like you can just buy from it casually. I think it's good that the concept is consistent.
