Mainly catered for locals but with Chinese speaking staff. Hotel is off site so need a car to travel. Bit old but outdoor onsen is extremely rewarding with river flow. Room is spacious and packed with dhc amenities. Breakfast is simple tho and near to airport

I like the atmosphere of Yamanaka Onsen and visit it several times a year. This time I tried using Hanatsubaki for the first time. After all, hot springs are good. The quality of the spring water is also excellent. I took a bath 5 times including the open-air bath and the large public bath. The location of the inn is a little far from the center of the hot spring town, so it may be a little difficult to get there on foot. For the meal, the boiled flounder was irresistibly delicious. The waitstaff and front desk staff are very pleasant and leave a good impression. I would like to use it again.
