Elite Pyramids Boutique Hotel

We had reserved a deluxe room with a view of the Pyramids. We got there late at night & the room we were given was a dump with no view whatsoever. Our Friends stayed in the main hotel and had a very nice room. We unpacked & went to dinner at the hotel. When we came back to the room our carbon monoxide monitor was blowing up. We have travelled all over the world & it has never moved off of 0(zero) EVER. We called the night manager and by the time he got to our room it was at 60. We told him it was dangerous to be in that room. He first said "it was Egyptian air". Then he said "our monitor was broken". Then he made fun of my wife. We finally got him to move us to the main hotel & within hours it went back to zero. We were only there 2 nights so we stayed. The area around the hotel is not nice. He told us he we could walk across the street to the pyramids, but in reality that entrance had been closed days before & it cost us $65 USD to take an Uber there. That is why we had originally decided to stay there. I very rarely leave a bad review but that reading on the carbon monoxide scared us badly & to be treated the way we were for reporting it wasn't right.

Once you are off the street the hotel is fresh and clean and all staff courteous. The restaurant with pyramid views was a real bonus, great food, atmosphere, service and view. The location is a bit remote from any shops or walking so be prepared for uber, taxi or indrive for transport anywhere.
