We fly to Juneau for 3 nights from Nashville to Seattle to Juneau as we wanted to visit Alaska without going on a cruise. The hotel was clean, and our room had wonderful views of the port. We had drinks at the bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and historic and had beautiful art deco light fixtures. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships and float planes from our windows. The first day we took the Goldenbelt Tram. The views were amazing as were the views at the top. There is a gift shop and restaurant. The outdoor seating is a great place to have a drink and amaze the views. We also did the mushing tour and a whale watching tour. We took the city bus to the drop off and walked to the Mendenhall Glacier. Heritage coffee had great lattes. Juneau drug store was amazing. for a prescription. We ate lunch 2 days at Hanger on the Wharf outside. It is a great view of the cruise ships and wings fleet taking off and landing and the food is great. We also ate at the food truck area of Deck Hand Dave's. You can take the public bus to Fred Meyer for water, snacks, wine and great souvenirs. I purchased Alaska wild post cards for souvenirs. If you want to mail them home there is a USPS right beside Deck Hand Daves.
