The photos are very misleading. This place looked so chic and charming, with a chilled out atmosphere for adults to lay by the pool and have a drink. Upon arriving we were overwhelmed by the drain smell. The whole ground floor smelled like a public toilet. It was very off putting. The entrance is quite dark and a lot more rundown than the photos showed. Our room was the same. Quite rundown and very small even though we’d booked one of the bigger rooms. Stains on the wall, peeling paint etc. There was also a massive stain on the carpet and the view outside the window was a construction site. The pool area is charming I have to admit but absolutely full to the brim with unsupervised children. I was only able to try the pool once on my whole stay as it was literally full of kids and there was no space. The picture gave me the impression this was more of a party vibes and couples hotel so this is not what I was expecting. The one time I did use the pool, it was very nice. The breakfast is nice. There’s not much in the way of protein. No eggs. But I never went hungry and it was really nice to sit in the courtyard each morning and eat. There’s no parking, so beware if you have a car. You’ll need to find a parking lot. The location is okay. It’s near a beach which is nice but the centre of Antibes is a fair walk away. Ultimately, we feel this places was overpriced for what we paid. It was $600 AUD per night. We were also looking at La Perouse in Nice which was literally only 100 euros more and much much nicer. But we’d not stayed in Antibes before so we decided to try this. There were some nice aspects, and the staff were absolutely lovely but ultimately the facility and state of the rooms were not worth the price and we left disappointed.
