Serene and vintage would be two perfect words to describe Assam Villa. It was a pleasant "home away from home" experience for me, especially when I am travelling. In the day, you can enjoy the green foliage at Assam villa and in the evening, the entire house with fairy lights brings joy and peace... No doubt the food was awesome. You will get the best taste of ethnicity with Assamese cuisine. I still remember the juicy and tangy taste of Mowa maas-or pitika (fish) and duck with ash gourd. Food was served at its best. The bedroom was comfortable enough to beat tiredness after a twelve hour journey. One more unforgettable experience was the hospitality. Met Rishi Paullah, the owner. I must say everyone including him is very friendly and welcoming. They are ever-ready to offer their instant help when the customer faces any trouble. Cutting it short, to feel the motherly hospitality amidst strangers in Jorhat town, one must visit Assam Villa a "home away from home". Thank you, Rishi Paullah for your warm hospitality....
