Hawksbill Resort Antigua - All Inclusive

OUTDATED RESORT!!!!! No Air conditioner in some bungalows had to upgrade to AC bungalow for a fee $$. No clean towels or wash clothes available. Toilet backed up, plumbing was horrible, standing water in shower and toilet bubbles. Had to call service desk guy was rude and for 2 DAYS septic trucks were on property, awful smell . No water sometimes and it was brown . Overbooked excursions they said the engine blew up on your boat but watched the tour boat sail all day laying on the beach. Limited dinner options and same type of food everyday Unfriendly staff, they don’t smile. Soccer kids hanging/laying around resort for days. The beach and water was amazingly beautiful.

The website notifies you before you reach that it is not disability friendly. There are long distances to walk, with a few inclines. If you are a scenic, nature-lover, who is looking for a relaxing unwinding stay, the staff will make you do just that.

A good value and well maintained resort , good food and clean rooms . The trip is made special by the beautiful location and amazing ground staff , from "dawn " that clean ed our room and made us welcome fro. Day one , too the ******** that rents rents you the snorkel gear and made us laugh every day ... they were 10/10

Beautiful beaches, great food and alot of great staff. Had a walkout rook to the beach which made for some great access to the ocean and georgous sunsets.

Antigua is stunning! Hawksbill resort is a very good resort with amazing views. The infinity pool and the beaches were astonishing! Relaxing is going to be easy staying here! We had a royal Palm room and it was clean and cool and had nice lounge chairs for you to watch the ocean. I wasn’t happy that the ocean directly in front of the room was completely rocky therefore making that beach inaccessible for swimming if I were to return to hotel, I would definitely stay in a beach bungalow instead. PDs grill was closed for the season so we ate at the two other restaurants ( Seagrape restaurant and Tamarind). The food at Tamarind was very good with lots of options for the buffet. Seagrapes honestly I didn’t enjoy the food there, it was bland with no sauces. If you are staying more than 4 days the food will get repetitive. That was ok for us because we left the resort to eat several times. Quick tip for people in their 20s or 30s: this resort caters to an older crowd think 50s,60s and up. I was fully aware of this when I booked because we came to relax so it wasn’t an issue for us. Last tip and this was our last day, I started to notice some slip ups in customer service at both restaurants and the gentleman at the water sports shed. I understand everyone has a bad day but don’t forget this is someone’s vacation that they worked hard to pay for it so a bad attitude isn’t needed. overall this was a wonderful vacation and I will be returning to Antigua again.

We just returned from a week at Hawksbill and had a fantastic time, a family holiday that will be remembered forever! We are a family of 5, with three children between 12 and 15, and we were pleased to see that we did not have the only children at the hotel, which remained quiet and peaceful. The beaches are amazing, with a beautiful forest backdrop, we couldn't ask for a more memorable place to spend a week. food and drink were plentiful, and all the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Now we have just finished our hols at hawksbill very enjoyable and relaxing clean in all areas the beaches are awesome sea is the warmest we have been in the entertainment is far to loud you can't have a conversation the clientel don't need the loud music it's good quality music no rubbish the food is good nice and hot could have a bit more variety at breakfast

Right from the start of our holiday I must compliment the staff, they are all wonderful and really try to make your holiday perfect! The resort is set on some of the nicest beaches on the Antigua, with clear warm seas to cool down in if the sun becomes too much. The snorkelling off the beach is also surprisingly good, definitely worth taking your mask and snorkel! Accommodation is ok, this is no luxury resort but the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. There’s a safe, fridge, kettle, iron, air con and a fan in the rooms we tried, more on that- We booked a superior Seaview room, but were upgraded to a Royal Palm room when we arrived, this turned out to be a mistake. Yes the room has direct beach access, it’s own loungers and a bath and shower, however it’s location on the resort made us feel isolated from the rest of the resort, having to make a 10 minute round trip for a bottle of water, new beach towel or a cocktail, let alone a meal does get a bit tiresome. Our room also suffered from noise and privacy issues due to its location, right next to the area of the beach used by cruise ships and for local events. After 5 nights we asked to move to the room type we had booked, and we’re much much happier, unfortunately we didn’t do this sooner and both feel our holiday was somewhat stolen from us. I can’t complain about the quality of the food or the drink, there was always something lovely to eat, the restaurant staff, both front of house and the kitchen, are fantastic, and you must try some of Errol’s cocktails! Would I go back again? Yes! But I may never take an upgrade again!!!

We stayed at this hotel 14 years previously with our 2 boys and were so pleased to find that it has lost none of its charm. We were there during the last 2 weeks of August. Weather was hot, sea was clear and warm and the snorkelling was great right off the beach. We loved morning walks along the shore to the end of Eden beach, which was deserted and unspoilt. All the staff work so hard to offer excellent service, and you never wait too long to be offered a drink when on the beach or by the pool. We gradually worked our way through the cocktail list! The food options for dinner and lunch were excellent and there were enough choices for vegetarians. Breakfast was good but lacked a bit of variety. Our boys enjoyed their daily tennis too, despite the heat! A few areas of the hotel still need a bit of tlc and are being refurbished but if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed resort with gorgeous beaches and sea and attentive staff then this place is for you. We met some of the loveliest people and would happily return!
