AC dirty, leaky and noisy. Room cleanliness must be improved. Water heater tap is spoilt with erratic switch between hot and cold. The bright light from the corridor leaks into the room under its door, making it disruptive to sleep. Overall, still fine with its good size and location.

A Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn JBCC, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel features a well-equipped gym, a beautiful rooftop infinity pool, and comfortable lounge areas. The pool was a great place to relax, especially in the evening with the city lights in the background. The business facilities also seemed well-suited for travelers needing workspace. Overall Experience: Holiday Inn JBCC offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service. Requested for early check in but the reception say $10 MYR additional for every hour. Requested for higher floor but gave us B1 without window. Location & amenities are so so for the price you paid. There's a seafood restaurant opposite the hotel. Must try

The hotel is strategically located between Jalan Trus and Jalan Wong Ah Fook, prime location if you were to visit JBCC and City Square. It is also close to take the bus to Singapore. The hotel room is of decent size, filled with wooden furniture. Too much carpentry, furniture and these designs are outdated and non sustainable imho. Bathroom size is good with good Roca fittings, however, more detailed attentions could be given to the water pressure and floor trap flow speed. The tiles and bathroom furniture again is old design despite the hotel is relatively new (completed in 2017/2018). The bed is huge. The only good part is the complimentary executive lounge served with beer, food and beverages. The wine selection however is one of the worst in 5-star hotels, it would be better to do without the wine and put the money into better food/fruits. The hotel is hardware driven and I felt there are a lot more that can be done apartment cleaning the room and wash the toilet to make it a truly 5-star hotel. Based on my experience, it's at best a 4-star hotel at 5-star price.

I’m surprised to find Fives Hotel is beyond my expectations. First time staying at Fives hotel and it has so much more to praise. Firstly, location is good as it is located opposite of Komtar shopping centre. You can cross the road from Komtar shopping centre by a traffic light. Secondly, safety is excellent as there is a security guard manning the entrance. You need access card to take the lift to access your room. There is a convenient store just right at the side of the hotel lobby. We stayed in a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Breakfast is sufficient to fill your stomach. All in all, it is a relatively good hotel for its pricing as jt includes breakfast. Lobby smells good. I would strongly recommend all to give Five a try. I’ve stayed at most hotels near CIQ area, this is better that the hotel next to Fives. 😊

Location is convenient. Near city square and CIQ. Hotel room is spacious with view over the causeway. Bed is very comfortable. However there is a pungent smell when you stand near the window. The shower faucet is not working well too. Overall it is still a pleasant experience staying in this hotel.

Apartment style Hotel. Big clean room to hibernate when fasting. Once breakfast, Pray go out find kueh for raya and eat at bazaar. Morning want eat breakfast before fasting no problem, order grab food or buy night before and heat up using in room microwave. Hotel is near CIQ. But the walk there with bags can be dangerous because of traffic and lobangs on ground. So no choice, grab lo. But if you budget, can walk slowly there in hot sun or now in heavy rain. I whack the ramdhan buffet. The range is not bad, but they don't top up. By 730pm, many dishes especially the sotong, prawn, crab all gone. Teh tarek also never top up. All the best staying here.

It's great, the service is very friendly, the facilities are complete, and it has everything. I will definitely come again next time!

It was a great short vacation with friends,The environment is so quite,clean and comfy.I can sleep well at night.and easy acces to the mall as well, just beside the building.I will book again this room.Thank you

The hotel are great to stay, please avoid on monday if you driving otherwise you will struggle to find a way looking for parking in the building due to they have night market that block the way enter the KSL parking facilities. The breakfast are simple but good enough, they been downgrade each time im stay here even room also furniture aging. Some photo took in JB mall and restaurant.
