I spent a week at Stoney Creek hotel and enjoyed everything my traveling heart desired. It had easy access to the interstate. Several restaurants were within walking distance. I saw great woodland decor everywhere I looked, even on the switchplates. There was a laundry service with reasonable prices. There was an indoor AND outdoor pool, plus spa, all beautifully decorated. A nice roomy fitness center. And a hot breakfast was included. So why didn't I give it five stars? Because things need fixing and obviously have needed so for some time. The carpet by the ice machine on the first floor was so loose that it could trip somebody. Furthermore, according to the person who was using the washing machine when I walked in, the machine only filled up a few inches. She had to pour in buckets of water to get it to wash. I threw my laundry into my trunk and took it home where I could do it for free. I will still return to the Stoney Creek Hotel if my travels take me back that way. Maybe everything will be fixed and I can give them five stars.

This is our 2nd year to stay at this location for a 3 night stay, in a suite; it is in much need of repairs. The carpets, especially the hallways & elevators, are filthy, raveling & bunched up - very easy to trip and fall. Easy fix: rip up carpet & put vinyl wood-look waterproof, non-skid plank flooring. The pool & hot tub area needs attention; the tiles are falling off of walls & mold appears. Water is freezing, even in hot August; windows need to be opened to allow ventilation. Ice machine does not have a top on it; wonder what falls into it? Rooms; pillowcases too small (regular size on a king) - fitted sheet was on inside out; tile in bathroom missing, soap dispensers- 1 empty-1 broke. Breakfast: out of items due to not being ordered(attendant's excuse); coffee pots empty most of the time; juice & pancake machines broke. This could be a very nice, cozy & cute Hotel; too bad they have let it get in such bad shape. Others were complaining, also. If it weren't for overnight stays; I doubt anyone would return; unless they are getting a cheap rate. (FYI - our rate was not the off-season cheaper rate)

Our Breakfast Champion, Linda, was a delight! Made us feel very welcomed. Highly recommended for a family stay. Kids loved the pancake machine!

The spa needs a good cleaning. The tile are very dirty around the rim. The whole pool area could use some maintenance. Good concept just needs to be freshened and cleaned

Hallway was very quiet...
At checkin we waited 10 mins but receptionist gave us drink tokens for waiting so politely. We will definitely return

Great stay. Only bone is being given a room in a separate building from the pool and breakfast area. Should have a small breakfast in both buildings.
