Courtyard by Marriott Johnson City

Young man working reception did his job. We were on a road trip and arrived late evening. Walking in I handed him my cards, he handed me back my room key and said, thanks. No the elevator is —, the bar is open until—, nothing. My first room was dirty. We were moved across the hall. Try to stay in an odd number room. They face away from the road and have a view. 2nd floor had bad noise from above and I don’t think they were doing anything but walking. Overall, you’ll be fine.

This stay wasn't as good as the last time I stayed here. The check in was easy and pleasant. After putting my bags in my room, I went to the Bistro to eat only to find out the meal service was stopping early. The individual said he had to work in the morning. So, I went next door to eat. When I returned, the Bistro was still open. I don't know if he was making food or just serving drinks. Since I didn't know how long he was planning on serving drinks, I went to a grocery store down the street for some snacks and drinks. I did enjoy the very quiet courtyard outside. The fire was a great touch, even though it was in the 80s. I didn't stay for breakfast. This Courtyard is in the process of remodeling. I don't think the interior colors inside is as nice as it was before, but you can tell the work being done is being done by some great workers. Besides the few box trailers in back, there was no other signs of the work that is being done in the building. Great Job on the construction team. Overall, this is still one of the best Courtyards you can stay at. Johnson City is a very nice city to visit.

I recently stayed 2 nights and was not as happy with my experience as I usually am at Courtyards. I always try to stay at Marriott hotels and have always had pleasant experiences. I have always been offered a late checkout which is one of the things i enjoy about being a member and using my rewards. On my last night I asked for a late checkout and the young man at the desk said 12noon was as late as he could do since I was just a silver member. The customer service at this Courtyard does not compare to the service I am used to at other locations.

My wife and I were visiting Johnson City to spend a Mother's Day weekend with our family in nearby Elizabethton. Everything about your hotel was first class. First we were greeted with smile by a very courteous Front Desk attendant. Next we entered our room on the 3rd floor to a gorgeous view highlighted by the rolling green hills just outside our window. The room was appointed nicely and arranged for comfort. We had an occasion to visit the cafe to enjoy pastries and the Starbucks coffee. Service was great. I would highly recommend your hotel for anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

I find the hotel to be clean and quiet. The front desk folks are accomodating, especially Misty. It is nice that a good restaurant is next door. Just a walk acorss the parking lot. I must be in JC about 8 times a year and I always stay the Courtyard.

This Courtyard is a very nice stay. We had a nice view out the window ! The staff was friendly and helpful!! The only two things that we was discontent with was no breakfast offered any Courtyard I have ever stayed in has a breakfast!! And we ran out of towels and was not brought any to the room … all and all the room was excellent for our 4 day stay!! Would stay here again!!

This is a very nice property! We had a very spacious King Suite. I had very good encounters with all the desk staff; they each were very helpful with any issues we had. This property has no breakfast credit, towards breakfast, so I did not eat at the resturant & bar in the lobby. The King Suite did not come with a microwave, but I receieved a micriwave upon my request. We stayed three nights and were very pleased.

I’m not sure why this Courtyard isn’t listed as #1 in Johnson City because I don’t believe it’s possible to get any better than this. During our stay, we were fortunate to meet and interact with the desk clerks on each shift. While they were all great, the guy on 3rd shift went far above and beyond his job description to help our family when we ran into an unfortunate situation. Hotel lobby has plenty of snacks, treats, and drinks available for you to charge to your room. It is also close to many delicious restaurants. The rooms were immaculate. The whole vibe in this hotel was amazing. I can’t wait to be back in Johnson City and stay at this Courtyard again.
