Not top of the line facilities but this is made up by easy location both to airport and downtown, as well as superb services.
No food is served however, and the stay could be frustrating at times when electricity brownout comes twice a day (not hotel's fault, it is a Joburg municipality issue).
Overall, agreeable experience for this stay and great value for the money!

Such beautiful gardens.Very safe for solo travel. Kind and generous staffwhiare always willing to help with transport, activities and breakfast. Serene and quiet. Beautifully done rooms. Stunning nail bar and such incredible charm. Would definitely come back!

Stayed at HOY on a business trip and found it to be an ideal choice. The room was immaculate, well-maintained, and featured a comfortable bed, spacious workspace, free Wi-Fi. The guest house offered excellent amenities, including convenient parking was a must for me, and a refreshing lounge area to do my work undisturbed. Its proximity to nearby business hubs and conference centers made commuting effortless. The staff were professional and accommodating, catering to my business needs. I particularly valued the express checkout, and reliable internet. Overall, the place provided a seamless and productive stay. I recently stayed at this place as a solo traveler and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional facilities. House on York Guesthouse is a hidden gem! The rooms are cozy and stylish, and the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. This is my second time at house on York, this time for business. I am so grateful for all the help I have received and the lovely staff. My room was so beautiful and warm in this cold weather. Gavin was able to help me with transportation to work and the shops that were close by. Thank you all for helping me again!

House on york has Tranquil gardens and lovely scenery. They have beautiful paintings and are close to resturants and are very quick for delivery services. The management was very good arranging transport at short notice.
