York House is located near the center of the city, with convenient transportation, elegant courtyards, and warmly decorated rooms. There is a small gym in the courtyard, which is quite surprising. The staff in the hotel are very enthusiastic, whether they are ordinary employees, managers, or even the hotel owner, they are all friendly and kind. The next afternoon there was a power outage in the area where the hotel was located, and the manager specially prepared two LED lights for us after nightfall. Used to save us from the darkness; the staff member Tino deserves special thanks!

Not top of the line facilities but this is made up by easy location both to airport and downtown, as well as superb services.
No food is served however, and the stay could be frustrating at times when electricity brownout comes twice a day (not hotel's fault, it is a Joburg municipality issue).
Overall, agreeable experience for this stay and great value for the money!

Such beautiful gardens.Very safe for solo travel. Kind and generous staffwhiare always willing to help with transport, activities and breakfast. Serene and quiet. Beautifully done rooms. Stunning nail bar and such incredible charm. Would definitely come back!

Stayed at HOY on a business trip and found it to be an ideal choice. The room was immaculate, well-maintained, and featured a comfortable bed, spacious workspace, free Wi-Fi. Such a beautiful guest house. I had a lovely holiday with my family. We were kept warm and were given lovely treats. Lovely quiet and beautiful gardens. The service here is wonderful and we were given transport. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
