This time my wife and l were the first time occupants of the newly appointed Mehfil Suite. Taking care of us was the *** who personifies the royal standards of Umaid Bhawan Palace-Mr Swaroop Singh Rathore. His hospitality and genuine concern is truly exemplary. The beautifully put together suite which is technologically very modern took us back to the Royal Time when it was witness to so much of history ! I would like to mark an NPS score of 10 on 10 for Swaroop Singh. I would also like to appreciate and endorse Mr Gourav Samtani and Chef Shobhit for their concern and hospitality.

Very good experience, most royal I have ever experienced in any hotel. Excellent hospitality, courteous servers, lovely setting. The facilities and amenities are excellent, with fast service. Huge area, with loss of places to explore, especially their palace Museum, and enjoy with peacocks on the go!

An unbelievable experience! An exceptionally well maintained authentic Palace. Wonderful, well trained, helpful staff. The Spa was truly an Art Deco masterpiece. And the visit to the neatly Mehrangarh Fort was spectacular. A convenient 1 hr flight from Delhi.

Wonderful stay in this historic palace. The staff was incredible and added a genuine warmth to this beautiful property. Sinkander Singh and Swaroop, in particular, took great care of us. They take pride in everything they do, and it shows. Additional shout outs to Alka, Nisu, Malveeka, Jabar, Narender, Shobhit, Rajveer and Malvika and to Ranu Singh who helped us breeze through the airport and excellent restaurant staff Saddique, Karam, Narendra and Aman. Truly the whole staff was outstanding!

Travelling through Rajasthan and tried to visit the Umaid Bhawan hotel because it was where my parents got engaged in 1996 when they were travelling around India. I had a photo of my mum in the hotel on the day my dad popped the question. We wanted to visit and spend a few moments given how special it was to my parents - but the gate guards would not even let us through the gate. They phoned various managers at the hotel but nobody cared about our story or why we hoped to visit even just for a few minutes. We were smartly dressed and asked if we could buy drinks at the bar but the answer was a flat no. This hotel prides itself on hospitality but they were anything but hospitable. They talk on their website about creating unforgettable experiences but they actually couldn’t care less about a genuine guest story. Shame on you Taj Hotels - this is not the way to offer hospitality to be proud of. So all I have is the photo taken of my mother when they visited the hotel 28 years ago - none of us will bother attempting to go back again.

Lovely hotel located in a very busy and built up area, which is beautifully maintained, with superb staff - especially Bhanwar who looked after us in the restaurant and made sure we had breakfast when we left had an early departure. Jaipur is a crazy city and the hotel is a little oasis of calm.

We had an excellent stay at Umaid Bhavan this past weekend. Right from the moment we entered for check-in, we were escorted warmly all the way to the time we left the property. I don't think I've been fed like this for a while! Kudos to the chefs & the team for such a wonderful dining experience. The room upgrade was something we did not expect & it blew our mind. A big shout out to Swaroop Singh, Rajveer & Malvika for their detail to attention & wonderful hospitality. The spa & pool facilities were top notch. We left very special throughout our stay. The last day was made extra special by handing us the local delicacies like Mirchi vadas & Pyaaz kachoris. Thank you very much for such a memorable stay! We hope to return again soon.
