I recently stayed at Novotel Jodhpur for 4 nights, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. First, they gave us a room without a window, which is completely unacceptable in this age—even prisoners aren’t kept in windowless rooms. When we raised this issue with the reception, a staff member named Himani lied to us, claiming that we had booked a standard room and that all such rooms are without windows. This was completely untrue. After showing her the pictures of the room we had actually booked, the manager came to speak with us and tried to convince with a weak explanation, insisting they had no other rooms available, despite us having made the reservation a month ago. Frustrated, we requested a cancellation and refund as we couldn’t stay in a room without windows. To our surprise, the manager then showed us the exact same room we had initially booked. This was nothing but a series of lies and poor services. To make matters worse, we were kept awake all night due to disturbances. There was construction work happening (during our whole stay continuously from 9am to 1000pm) on the floor above us, a nightclub (one night) on the same floor, and a group of young boys and girls staying at the hotel who were shouting and running around the hallways (for 2 nights). Despite numerous complaints, no one took any action to address these issues. On top of all this, when I called guest services to request room amenities, I was assured that someone would bring them, but no one ever showed up. We paid a premium price for this stay, but the result was four sleepless nights and disturbing days filled with noise, lies, and no resolution to any of our complaints. It was a truly disappointing experience. Please do not respond with a generic apology, as no one at the hotel paid attention to our issues during our stay. On a positive side, the staff in dining area are super super nice and helpful. Five star to Manav, Kajal, Prachi, guy who makes tea and many others. They are always stand by to help at another level.
