Surjios Guest House

We stayed 2 nights in this nice guest house. The owners are very nice and helpful. Our room had a view in the Nile - which was of course great. Well located to visit Jinja and then return the a quiet and safe place. And on to of that: probably the best pizza in Uganda!

A world away from the bustle of Jinja town but just down the road. Beautiful setting. Staff couldn't be more helpful, neither could the owner (Surj). Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Take the time to chat to Surj - a fascinating individual.

Surjio's is a relaxing, friendly, and peaceful place to stay!! The beds are very comfortable, and our rooms had everything we needed. We had every breakfast and dinner here and the menu is versatile and delicious!!! The owner and staff are very conscientious and friendly!! I would definitely stay here again!!

What a wonderful oasis when visiting busy Jinga. Located near Lake Victoria the quiet location was very restorative. The owners and staff were very attentive to details making the time there relaxing. We are foodies and loved the food. The pizza was delicious but some of the off the menu items were exceptional. The butter chicken was one of the best we’ve had and the Ethiopian doro wat was great. For birders, this is a great location and we added quite a number to our life list. A well done to Surjios and many thanks! We hope to return ♥️

Such a warm welcoming place! Surjio and his family and staff take such good care of the guests. I feel very safe and comfortable there. I have stayed two times and will be back! The pizzas and desserts are excellent. Laundry service available.

Our family of two adults and grown up daughter had a lovely three night stay at Surjios. The rooms were large with thoughtful furnishings and comfortable beds. Ours had balconies overlooking Lake Victoria which was beautiful. Surj and Danyne were very welcoming and knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting to them. Their staff served us diligently and we felt very safe and well looked after. There is a beautiful garden and pool and a good choice of food- we recommend the banana peanut butter milkshake! It's also a short walk to Jinja high street and the lake front.
