We took the kids to Jingdezhen and stayed at the Taoxichuan Manxinfu Hotel. The experience was simply amazing! The room was brightly lit and had a private courtyard. Sitting in the lobby, enjoying the view while sipping tea was a delightful experience. Ceramic elements are everywhere in the hotel, allowing you to immerse yourself in the charm of the Porcelain Capital. The breakfast was varied and delicious, especially the cheesecake, red velvet cake, and mousse cake, which were incredibly smooth. They also offered local specialties like mixed noodles, clay pot soup, and fried dough sticks with mochi, which clearly showed the care and attention put into the preparation. There are excellent local food stalls served within 200m away from the hotel. They even carried our baggage up the stairs to our room. The room was very clean and quiet. There is a self-operated washing machine and a dryer along the corridor. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from the famous Taoxichuan pottery exhibition centre.

The cleanliness is okay. The hotel is at a crossroads, which can be a bit noisy. When I came back at 1:30 in the afternoon, I found that the door could not be opened. I called the front desk and asked them to help open the door and pick up my luggage. After waiting for a long time, no one came. I took my room card and went down to find it. At the front desk, it turned out that it still couldn't be opened, so I had to ask the cleaning lady to help me open it. Because I saw that the facilities included a minibar when I booked it, but I didn't actually see it. I asked the front desk and she told me that the one I ordered was the most common high-end one. , the minibar only has two bottles of mineral water, which really made me laugh. If it is not equipped, please explain it properly. The third-party platform does not match the actual situation and needs to be improved.

Although we booked a non-smoking room, the first room that was shown to us, smelled like just a few minutes before someone smoked in there. We than got another room which was fine, but the overall cleanliness could have been better: stains on the floor e.g. I think it was a little overdone with the „electrifying“ the room, the curtains could only be opened/ closed electronically, but it was only completely opened or completely closed which is nonsense. In the second room it didn’t work anymore in the morning, so how is this helpful?
