Honest Review of The Madison Hotel, Jinan – Good but Not 4-Star Standard According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification. The Positives - Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful. - Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment. - Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge. - Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible. The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star) - Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming. - Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient. - Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned. - Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel. Final Verdict The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards. Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Good, but not 4-star.

The atmosphere of the hotel is very comfortable and pleasant, making people feel relaxed and happy as soon as they enter the door. The rooms are stylish and practical, and every detail reflects the hotel's intentions. In terms of dining, both the hotel's breakfast room and the nearby cooperative restaurant provide delicious food. The variety and price of the drinks on the first floor are very good, and it is convenient to go back to the room for a drink. The hotel is very new, the rooms are big enough, and there are gifts and game areas for children at the front desk, which are very good. Adults can also play. Except that the geographical location is not close to the scenic spot, there are no disadvantages.

My child came to participate in training and stayed in this hotel. My grandma came from Beijing to stay with my child for two days. As soon as I entered the lobby, I felt fresh and elegant. Through the two-day service experience, I can feel the reason why Haidian Foreign Language chose this hotel. The service is really It's pretty good. I asked the room requirements carefully and thoughtfully before checking in, and thoughtfully prepared toys and disposable items that the children like. The children liked it very much. There is also an episode that fully reflects the service and management of the hotel at this time. At noon, I took the elderly to have lunch in their private room. It could be seen that it was quite busy. I asked the little girl at the service for boiled water and planned to pour it myself without bothering them. Yes, the little girl said no, they would just come and serve. However, water was not served even after we almost finished eating, because the set meal included Cantonese chicken soup, and she did not rush for water at all. When checking out, she complained to the staff angrily. The staff at the checkout apologized very nicely and said they would give timely feedback to the leader, and handled the checkout and invoice matters very quickly. I thought that was the end of it, but less than ten minutes after returning to the room, a hotel manager came with me. A fruit plate and two bottles of juice came to the room to apologize again. There was no explanation for the full name. They just apologized and told them that the follow-up service would be guaranteed. They also left a business card to say that they could contact the hotel at any time if they have any service needs. I finally returned home satisfied with this trip and will come again next week. It is highly recommended.

Very nice. The room is very clean and the service is very good. There was no water at night. I called the front desk and asked the robot to deliver four bottles. Before checking in, I called to ask if I was driving and needed to reserve a parking space. It was smaller than the Qingdao Sakura I stayed in before. Atour in the town is so much better!

The hotel parking lot is relatively large, parking is convenient, breakfast is rich in variety, the front desk Xiao Ma issues invoices quickly, thumbs up, I will come again next time~ The location is good, walk around nearby, the scenery is nice

I am a regular customer of Hon Teng. I have been staying here for six years since 2018. Hon Teng's hardware facilities are well maintained and should have undergone a major upgrade. The front desk service, room service, food delivery, etc. are more professional. It's just the New Year. I wish Hon Teng better and better. Be careful when choosing the free fruits, as there are bad fruits.

Location: The high-tech section of Jinan is far away from the main urban area (”crowded” with large-scale construction sites🏗️). There are no traffic jams and construction dust. You can have a good sleep peacefully and dare to open the windows for ventilation. Equipment: There is a free parking lot downstairs🅿️, with 2 slow charging stations, a rare tram-friendly hotel in Jinan Service: The front desk is very beautiful and smiling, and the service is professional. Every piece of dry cleaning clothes is folded well, and the underwear is packaged separately. They are really careful and attentive. The service is much better than ”Yado”. Environment: Large space, software and hardware are rated 5⭐ In the evening, we went to the Locomotive Night Market, which is a 20-minute drive away. It’s a big night market with lots of food and entertainment. It’s convenient to park before 7 o’clock. Stayed in Jinan for 3 nights and highly recommend this hotel
