Dream's service made our stay at the Horizon Club at Shangri-La Jinan exceptionally warm and memorable. From the check-in process, she meticulously inquired about our travel plans, proactively introduced the exclusive Horizon Club privileges, and even thoughtfully prepared our preferred tea bags. During our stay, upon noticing we had a child, she took the initiative to add a bed rail and surprised us with some delightful snacks. When we unexpectedly needed to print documents, she handled it swiftly and precisely, all with a constant, cheerful smile. Every time we met her at the Horizon Club, she would accurately address us by name and recall details of attractions we'd discussed, making us feel like valued friends. Upon our departure, when our pre-arranged car arrived ahead of schedule, she thoughtfully provided an extra bottle of water and reminded us to have a safe journey. This level of meticulous attention to detail transformed the Horizon Club from just an accommodation space into a temporary home. Dream's professionalism and genuine warmth truly deserve the highest praise!

One of the best hotels I have stayed considering everything. I think best choice to stay in Jinan and to avoid generic brands. Good location, Spring square near, shoping center around, beatiful 49th rotating floor breakfast, excellent room, 7 bottles of water:), cheap minibar. Not 100% glamorous, 99%, but with much more heart. Thank you Mr. Harry, Mr. Steve and Mrs Amy for your help and information. Only one little advice: bar could be open until 23:00

Ctrip searched for Jinan five-star hotels and the first one that came out was a new hotel that had just opened for less than a year or two. I chose it and booked an executive room to feel what kind of treatment it would be. Environment: There was construction going on right opposite the hotel, so the environment actually had to be reduced, but the room could not see that direction so it didn't matter. Sanitation: Clean and tidy. Facilities: Complete. Service: Fast but careless. The front desk checked me in at 1809, but the room card said 1807, so I went to 1807, rang the doorbell and swiped the card, but the door could not be opened. At this time, I heard someone say ”wait a minute” from inside. I thought the room was still being cleaned and didn't care. After waiting for two minutes, the door opened! I opened it halfway and saw a middle-aged man wearing a white sleeveless vest on his upper body. He asked me what I was doing with an impatient look on his face? Speechless. He immediately closed the door without saying a word. I went downstairs immediately. I asked the front desk what was going on. The front desk checked and said sorry that they wrote the wrong room number! Then I took the new room card and went to 1809. So far, the hotel has not compensated me. Maybe this is an insignificant matter in their hotel's eyes? But as an i person, I feel speechless, so I deduct one for the service✨, is that okay? Enjoy MINIBAR: This is very good. There are even more snacks in the pictures than shown on their app. Executive floor exclusive benefits: I advise everyone not to book the executive floor, because the executive afternoon tea is as shown in the picture. The coffee is delicious and the snacks are okay, but the egg tart is obviously left over from breakfast (the outer circle of the crispy egg tart is hardened) and the meat floss bread is dry and hard to bite. 🥲 It is understandable that the afternoon tea is limited, but it is another feeling if it is not delicious. So I deduct another one. I didn’t eat the executive dinner. I felt that it might be left over to fool people, so I didn’t want to go. (The service lady at the bar was very enthusiastic and thanked me very much) Breakfast: It’s great. I recommend buying an ordinary room to eat breakfast. There are many types. The egg tarts for breakfast are normal and delicious crispy egg tarts.

Honest Review of The Madison Hotel, Jinan – Good but Not 4-Star Standard According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification. The Positives - Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful. - Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment. - Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge. - Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible. The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star) - Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming. - Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient. - Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned. - Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel. Final Verdict The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards. Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Good, but not 4-star.

Consistently excellent! This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in town for a game. Last year, I even bumped into the Guoan team, though they weren't staying here this time. The rooms are spacious and impressive, with beautiful views. The hospitality was incredibly warm, especially Vicky, who was exceptionally attentive and truly made me feel at home, showcasing the renowned hospitality of Shandong people. All in all, a wonderful trip. Oh, and after Shandong Taishan's 6-0 win against Beijing Guoan, I even made sure to have a smoke by the hotel entrance and waited for some Guoan fans. What a happy day!

The atmosphere of the hotel is very comfortable and pleasant, making people feel relaxed and happy as soon as they enter the door. The rooms are stylish and practical, and every detail reflects the hotel's intentions. In terms of dining, both the hotel's breakfast room and the nearby cooperative restaurant provide delicious food. The variety and price of the drinks on the first floor are very good, and it is convenient to go back to the room for a drink. Special thanks to Miss Y'ulia from the front desk of the hotel for her help, I highly recommend this hotel!

We were pleasantly surprised to be told it was the hotel's opening day upon check-in. The room was spacious and completely odor-free. Our two-day stay was excellent; the room was very clean, and most importantly, the service was like that of Haidilao (a famous hot pot restaurant chain in China). Any issues were resolved promptly. When we found mosquitoes in the room, they immediately brought us electric mosquito repellent. Because of the season, the air conditioning was blowing hot air, and my father was a bit hot. After we mentioned this to the front desk, they brought an air cooler to our room! Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly. A special thank you to Tony, the restaurant manager, who ate almost all our breakfasts and lunches at the hotel during our stay – they were delicious and he took great care of our child. We also want to thank Lydia, who helped us with check-in; seeing we had a lot of luggage and a child with us, she brought it all to our room. This stay truly exceeded our expectations!

The hotel is well located and is near the town centre, it’s very convenient if conducting business in Jinan. Additionally, it is only about 10 minutes walk to the airport shuttle terminus in town (other end of the street). Although the hotel facilities require some minor updating, the hotel and the rooms are very clean and functional. The services provided by all the staff are exemplary, they were faultless. The reception desk are very helpful and had offered me many helpful advices, which smooth my stay in Jinan (Many thanks to one of the receptionist, 刘楊, who had been very kind and helpful). In my opinion, the services provided from this hotel were at least on par, if not better, than many international hotel chains I had stayed with in Europe. In no doubt, I have no hesitation in recommending my friends to stay at this hotel when visiting Jinan.

A very scenic and peaceful location, you can enjoy the lake area right at the hotel's doorstep. The only thing is the only way to reach the hotel is by foot and the nearest the car can drop off is by the road side of the lake. However the hotel provides a vehicle service to fetch you and your luggage to and fro to the location you need to be so you don't have to travel by foot with your luggage. Hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable and friendly, they sincerely welcome you and help you with any requests or questions. They're so cheerful as well We even received some souvenirs at the end of your stay which was very nice of them, and was provided with free breakfast daily. Breakfast food was good too with a cosy but adequately filling selection. Some items change on different days too. Overall, apart from the hotel being a little old and the toilet interior design being a little odd, it was a very comfortable stay!
