3-Star Hotels in Jilin

We added the manager on Wechat and he was so helpful and attentive. Service was great. Room was warm and clean. We arrived late on the first night and asked for dinner recommendations. He checked our food preferences, called ahead and sent a car to take us to a good restaurant! Breakfast is nice and right next to the ski service center. He helped with tickets and transport for our whole trip. Would definitely stay again!

We traveled to Songhuahu with another American expat family. Booked 4 rooms for two families with 7 kids and two adults. It was tight but that was expected. Xiaohui got us extra bed and blankets so everything worked out for sleeping. Only a 5 minute walk to the ski shop for rentals and then a 2 minute shuttle to the base of the slopes. This is an awesome skii experience for families. (But this region doesn’t have many English speakers so you’ll need to be able to speak Chinese or use translation software or have a translator) For this price you can’t beat this place. We came to play and ski, not hang out in the room. 😆. Breakfast was awesome if you like Chinese style buns, noodles, rice, eggs etc. Lunch and dinner options are plentiful and surprisingly affordable (US$5-10) and there are some descent beers to be found. The resort was designed by a Japanese firm so its well thought out. Bunny slopes are to the left and greens at the base. Blues are good and weave in and out of the greens if you want. There’s a separate section for blues and another for blacks with its own lift for the dads. (If you’re into double black’s you’ll Be disappointed but we were having fun with the blacks and wooded sections) there are sections for jumps too. Great variety for 3 day family skiing. The lifts even have windshields and there’s a gondola to the top. Restaurant at the top can get you a bowl of noodles for only US$5 or hit chocolate for 3. Medical care was efficient and cheap too, and the park fee comes with insurance. Don’t ask how we know. Haha. The best thing was the service from Xiaohui. We literally didn’t have to think about anything- tickets, lessons, gear. Price was market price for the season but so so easy. One of our best vacations ever. Good place for a variety of skier levels and not too crowded even at peak season.

I came here to attend a wedding this time. I will go back next time I come to Jilin. I personally feel that it is very cost-effective. We stayed here on New Years Eve for 1 night in the suite and were happy with our choice. The room was spacious, modern, spotless, and the general layout of the rooms was nice in that the bathroom and bedroom were far apart. (The bathroom has a solid door and the shower is separated, which we always appreciate.) At first as foreigners we were told by the staff we couldn't stay there (even though they accepted our booking with our foreign passports), but the manager stepped in and was so helpful and apologetic. He could speak English and politely explained the situation, then spoke to the local police to sort everything out. He also gave us an ice bucket for our ice cream delivery later, and helped me to look for a pair of glasses I thought I left in the room after we left -- so friendly and professional! There's very little parking, but they have an attendant help fit everyone's cars in. Our only suggestions would be for the room set up: a couch would be much cozier in the living room area, or alternatively the TV should maybe go in the bedroom. A door or curtain for the bedroom could also help block out light. Overall a great stay though! And from a lot of searching on ctrip, seems like one of the nicest options in downtown!

The hotel is near the train station, so there are a lot of people and cars, and it is very lively. There are four parking spaces in front of the hotel, which seems a bit too few. But the land near the train station is very expensive, and it is not easy to get it. Everything in the hotel is small, the front desk is small, the lobby is small, and the room is even smaller. But the bedding is very good, and the linens are also very nice. The service is very enthusiastic, and the problem is solved quickly and thoroughly, which is worthy of praise! The hotel hygiene needs to be improved.

It's an old hotel with a good location. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful. Other than that, it is no longer recommended. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel facilities are too old. There is a musty smell in the room. I don't know if it is the carpet or the furniture. The bed is very hard. 2. The cleaning was not careful enough. There were water marks on the mirror in front of the dressing table, which showed that the rag was not clean. There were oil stains on the large coffee table in the living room. I wiped it with disinfectant paper three times before it was clean. 3 Breakfast time is from 7 to 9 in the morning. We arrived before 8:30. Except for four pickles, all the other hot and cold dishes were exhausted and no more were added. The steamed buns and fried dough sticks were cold, and the millet porridge was not too hot either.

The service at the hotel is good, we were checked in quickly and given a room larger than we had originally booked, as our room was not ready yet. The room was spacious and quite clean, but the bedroom smelled of carpet. The cleaner came every morning at 10 am, which is very early for cleaning, as we were still in bed at that time and had to cancel the cleaning. The audibility is quite strong, we could hear the conversations of the neighbors upstairs. And once they started making noise in the corridor as early as 6 am, as there were newlyweds living on our floor and they were having a wedding. Overall, I liked the hotel, it has a good location in the city center, next to the train station, but it has its downsides
