Many visitors are attracted to this beautiful village and would stay for months to paint, take photos and hike. We used to travel around the world and we understand how important it is to stay in a warm, clean, convenience and welcoming place to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. Miss May Hotel was transformed from a traditional house built by the Bai family. We preserved the unique style of this historic house with a touch of modern amenities. This hotel is a gem in Shaxi Town and should not be missed. We are happy to have had the opportunity to stay for 1 night, and only wished we had more days in Shaxi. The hotel is in a beautifully restored ancestral home, with rooms that are modern and beautifully appointed with a lot of thoughtful amenities provided. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The hotel staff from the ladies at the front desk to housekeeping were really friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations on what to see and where to eat in Shaxi. We appreciated the extra touches such as having warm milk brought to our rooms as a nightcap. Special thanks to Yan Yan who took care of us on our last day and was also our teacher in the Jia Ma wood printing experience. We had a great time during the experience and left Shaxi with a special souvenir.

I really like it here, it's beautiful and comfortable. The view from the second floor is very good. Standing on the balcony, you can still hear the singing coming from the Yujin Bridge. It's about a 3-minute walk from the ancient town. The breakfast and afternoon tea provided are home-cooked and delicious. For breakfast, you can drink coffee handmade by the staff. After drinking coffee made by machines in other accommodations for several days, it was a surprise!

When I came to Shaxi, the pace of life slowed down all of a sudden. I stayed at Banxi Mingyue on this trip and it was very comfortable. The location of the B&B is relatively convenient, there are parking spaces, and it is quite close to the core area of ​​the ancient town. As soon as we arrived, the staff warmly greeted us and helped us park and take our luggage. The afternoon tea and breakfast were exquisite and delicious. The small courtyard is very beautiful, and you can see the traces of careful management, which is suitable for taking pictures.
