A cloud inn in Shaxi ancient town

I was very satisfied. The inn has excellent facilities and the beautiful host is very considerate, taking everything into consideration. The breakfast was especially delicious, well-preserved, and wholesome. I personally think the rice noodles are even better than the town's famous snack, "Three Fishes." The inn is also very well located, just a few minutes from the heart of the ancient town. Highly recommended.

I was looking forward to a trip to Shaxi and booked this B&B. Upon arrival, I was a little disappointed because the route involved passing through a rather desolate area, including a very smelly chicken coop. I booked a king-size room on the second floor for the view, but all I saw was a wasteland and a dilapidated house. The B&B was also quite small, requiring me to walk past other guests to get to my room. The so-called "courtyard" was essentially a hallway. Furthermore, the soundproofing was poor, and I could hear strange noises from the next room at 1 a.m. The landlord seemed to be very particular about the facilities. The washing machine only worked on the "quick wash" setting, the air conditioner required windows to be closed, and the breakfast menu only offered a choice of American coffee or milk; no adding milk to the coffee. All of this, along with the constant nagging, made me feel uncomfortable in someone else's home, adding a touch of discomfort to an otherwise relaxing trip. When choosing a B&B, be sure to carefully select the host; otherwise, your stay will be unpleasant.

I'd definitely stay at this international B&B again if I had the chance. I even ran into a Vietnamese family at breakfast. The B&B provided a wide range of toiletries, including makeup remover and body lotion. Such a thoughtful touch! I absolutely loved this two-story wooden B&B.

The accommodation experience was very good. The hostess was very helpful and assisted with many things. The location was quiet in the bustling area, very close to the core area of the ancient town. It was surprisingly quiet at night. Highly recommended! I will definitely visit again next time
